Before the war

In 1849/50, he married Harriet Weaver. She was born on 14 April 1832. Their children include:

In 1850, he was living in Hopewell Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. He was living with his wife Harriet; they had married in the previous year. He was a laborer. [source: 14]

In 1860, he was living in Hopewell Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. He was living with his wife Harriet, and with Catharine, Rachel, and Mary (presumably their children. He was a carpenter, and owned $500 in real estate and $200 in personal property. [source: 7]

During the war

He was drafted. He enlisted and was mustered into service on 16 March 1865. He was mustered in as a private, at Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. He was a private in company B. [sources: 1, 3, 4, 16, 17]

He may have been charged for a lost cap box, box, gun sling, etc., perhaps when the regiment mustered out. [source: 2]

After the war

In 1870, he was living in Lincoln Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. He was living with his wife Harriet, and with Mary, Elmer, Samuel, William, and Albert (presumably their children). He was a farmer, and owned $1,000 in real estate and $590 in personal property. [source: 8]

In 1880, he was living in Lincoln Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. He was living with his wife Harrietta [?], and children Elmer, Albert, Lettie, and Wilbert. He was a farmer. [source: 9]

On 19 December 1890, he successfully applied from Pennsylvania for a pension. [sources: 5, 6]

In 1890, he was living in Hopewell Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania (post office Entriken [?]). [source: 4]

In 1900, he was living in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. He was living with his wife Harriet. He was a mason, and had been out of work 6 months in the previous year. [source: 10]

On 8 September 1903, he died. He was buried in Saint Pauls UCC Church Cemetery, Russelville, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. [source: 12]

On 21 November 1903, his widow, Harriet Krieger, successfully applied from Pennsylvania for a pension. [sources: 5, 6]

In 1910, his widow, Harriet Krieger, was living in Lincoln Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania (11). She was living on her own income (11).

On 11 December 1912, his widow, Harriet Weaver Krieger, died, in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. She was buried in Saint Pauls UCC Church Cemetery, Russelville, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. [sources: 13, 15]
