He was transferred on 24 December 1861 to company G (1, 7).
He fought at the Battle of Gettysburg (8).
He reenlisted as a veteran volunteer on 26 December 1863 (1, 6). He was enlisted for three years, at Bealton, Virginia, by Lieutenant Swan (6).
Apparently in March-April 1863, he was John A Lanberbartel's tentmate (12).
On 5 November 1864, he was promoted to corporal, effective 1 November 1864 (2, 4, 5, 6).
On 27 April 1865, he was promoted to sergeant, effective 1 April 1865 (1, 3, 4).
He mustered out on 10 July 1865 with his company (1). He was a sergeant, in company G (13-15).
On 28 March 1873, he testified that John Langerbartel suffered from bronchitis (12).
In 1879/80, he married Ellen Geraghty [?] (10).
In 1880, he was living in Nether Providence, Delaware County, Pennsylvania (10). He was working in a woolen mill (10). He was living with his wife, Ellen Osborne, and her family (10).
He died in 1889 [sic] (11).
On 31 January 1888 [sic], his widow, Ellen Osborne, applied unsuccessfully from Pennsylvania for a pension (9, 11).
