He was a substitute (1). He enlisted and was mustered into service on 22 March 1865 (1, 2). He was enlisted for one year, at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, by Captain Dorter [?] (2). He was a private in company I (1, 8-9).

He mustered out with his company on 10 July 1865 (1, 2). He was a private, in company I (8-9).

After the war

In 1890, he was living in Tarentum, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania (4).

On 17 October 1890, he successfully applied from Pennsylvania for a pension (3, 5).

On 4 March 1907, he again applied for a pension (5).

He died on 7 March 1909 (5, 6). He was buried in Prospect Cemetery, Brackenridge, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania (6).

On 28 May 1909, his widow, Mary E Reisinger, successfully applied from Pennsylvania for a pension (3, 5).

In 1910, his widow, Mary E Reisinger, died (7). She was buried with him in Prospect Cemetery, Brackenridge, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania (7).
