Before the war

During the war

After the war

On 22 September 1867, he married Sarah Margaret Adams, in Sacred Heart RCC, Conewago Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania (6, 11). In 1900, she had had no children (11).

In 1870, he was living in Oxford Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania (9). He was living with his wife Sarah (9). He was a lime burner [?], and owned $200 in real estate and $200 in personal property (9).

In 1880, he was living in Adams County, Pennsylvania (10). He was living with his wife Sarah and his brother-in-law George A Adams [?] (10). He was a laborer.

On 7 May 1890, he applied successfully from Pennsylvania for a pension (4, 5).

In 1890, he was living in Oxford Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania (post office: Irishtown) (3). He was suffering from a sore eye (3).

In 1900, he was living in Oxford Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania (11). He was a day laborer [?] (11). He had been unemployed for 12 months in the previous year (11).

On 9 January 1907, his wife, Sarah Rickrode, died (6).

On 26 February 1907, he again applied for a pension (5).

In 1910, he was living in McSherrystown Borough, Adams County, Pennsylvania (12). He was a boarder, with Sarah and Kurt [?] Lawrence (12). He was a widower (12). He was living on his own income (12).

In 1920, he was living in McSherrystown Borough, Adams County, Pennsylvania (13). He was living with his brother-in-law Jenstius [?] Lawrence and his wife Sarah Lawrence (13). He was not working.

He died on 6 March 1921 (5, 6). He was buried in Sacred Heart RCC, Conewago Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania (6).
