George W Rodearmel--furlough document

To all whom it may Concern:

Extract from Army Regulations, edition 1861.

Par. 190 . . Furloughs will be granted only by the commanding officer of the post, or the commanding officer of the regiment actually quartered with it. Furloughs may be prohibited at the discretion of the officer in command.

Par. 191 . . Soldiers on furlough shall not take with them their arms or accoutrements.



The bearer hereof, George W. Rodermal a Corporal of Captain Wm. H. Carpenters Company of the 91 Regiment of Penna Vet. Volunteers aged 19 years, 5' feet 7 inches high, Light complexion, Grey eyes, Light hair, and by profession a Clerk, born in the City of Philada, and enlisted at Philada in the State of Penna on the 21 day of January eighteen hundred and Sixty four, to serve for the period of 3 Years, is hereby permitted to go to Philada Pa in the County of Philada, State of Penna, he having received a FURLOUGH from the 14" day of February, to the 24' day of February, at which period he will rejoin his Company or Regiment at Camp in the Field, or wherever it then may be, OR BE CONSIDERED A DESERTER.

Subsistence has been furnished to said George W. Roderm, to the 14' day of February 65, and pay to the 31 day of Aug 1864, both inclusive.

Given under my hand, at Camp in the Field, this 14' day of February, 1865.
