He is listed on a muster and descriptive roll of a detachment of US volunteers forwarded for the 91 Regiment Pennsylvania Infantry, dated Philadephia, 10 September 1862. He had been paid $25 in bounty, and a $4 premium. But the entry is crossed out, and he is not listed on any of the regiment's company muster rolls. [source: 2]
