I have not been able to identify him in regimental records. Perhaps he served under an alias. I have not been able to identify him by age and birthplace.

Before the war

He was born in 1821, in Lynton, Devonshire, England. [sources: date: 2 (1821), 4 (46 at death in 1867). place: 2 (Lynton), 4 (Devonshire)]

Description

During the war

He served as a private in company B of the 91st Pennsylvania. [source: 1, 3]

After the war

When he died, he was living in the Soldiers' Home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. [sources: 2 4]

On 28 November 1867, he died. He died of a psoas abscess. He was a civil Engineer. He was single. He was originally buried (on 29 November 1867) in Mount Moriah Cemetery (in the Soldiers' Home lot), but then removed. He was buried in Philadelphia National Cemetery, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, plot 1448. [sources: 1, 3, 4]
