After the war

In 1880/81, he married Jennie [unknown family name] (3). This was his second marriage, and her first (3). In 1910, she had had three children, all of whom were alive (3).

In 1890, he was living in Centre County, Pennsylvania (post office Moshannon) (5).

On 10 July 1891, he applied successfully from Pennsylvania for a pension (4, 6).

In 1910, he was living in Derry Township, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania (3). He was living with his wife Jennie, daughter Hazel, and a niece (3). He was an engineer, at a planing [?] mill (3).

He died on 4 [?] March 1913, at Lewistown, [Mifflin County,] Pennsylvania (4).

On 11 March 1913, his widow, Nancy J Veihdorfer, applied successfully from Pennsylvania for a pension (4, 6).
