B 1709 &endash; would have been 21 by
1730 and children 21 by 1751 if not a year or two earlier
for the oldest one
1.Robert had proven sons Robert, Absoleum, and possible
implied sons Moses and Ascon and was James who was a WIT in
1772 another son
2. Was there another Robert in the 3rd generation who lived
in Lenoir Co? Was this the same Robert who had land at
Woodington in 1757 or was that a possible son of Joseph?
3. Moses may have been a son as his descendants state but
the earliest date for Moses was 1747 which may not work.
They lived in the same general area. Robert was 21 in 1730
and his possible children would not have been 21 until 1751
unless Robert was having children at the age of 15.
4. Did Abraham give his son the farm on Core Creek that he
received a patent for? No way of knowing but Robert, son of
Abraham never appears to have lived in Dobbs Co which might
account for his not being the exec of his father's will.
5. I am inclined to think that Robert may have had a son
Abraham also. He sold to both Abraham and Moses on the same
day in 1780 which is when the descendants of Moses said he
died. Abraham could have been his brother
6. Appears to have lived on Core Creek but had land on Flatt
Swamp and in Dobbs Co. on Indian Cabin Branch. I don't think
anyone but this Robert could have had that land on Indian
Cabin branch. What happened to it?
7. Core Creek &endash; starts right at Cove City and runs
north to the Neuse River
8. Only Flat Swamp we can find is rises in N Jones and flows
into Rattlesnake. Rattlesname rises in N Jones and flows
into Beaver Creek. I have one map that shows Rattlesnake
actually rises in Lenoir.
9. Did Robert marry a daughter of James Green?
10. Robert appears to have been a blacksmith as was his son
Absolem
