Wells Family of Greene Co., Tennessee

Mr.1 Wells.

Well, this is all a big fat guess.

I know nothing about Experience's mother or father, except that her mother was still alive in 1845 when she and her (then) husband went to visit. It was on the trip home that he decided he "would find a place to live upon". She said that she wanted him to come home, but off he went. He apparently went to the Mexican War, even went to his father's, but he never came home. She was granted a divorce in 1850 and then married James Pierce. My ancestor was a child of this marriage.

I am guessing that Allen is her brother because of the date and place of their births/marriages and that she named a son "Allen". That's it. Nothing more to go on...oh, and several of their children ended up in McDonald County, Missouri.

Children of Mr. Wells are:
1.
Allen2 Wells, born Abt. 1818 in Tennessee.
2. Experience "Spiddy" Wells, born Abt. 1820 in Tennessee; died Bet. 1863 - 1865 in probably Greene County, Tennessee.
