A 50th Anniversary Invitation

A very special day!
Let's all celebrate
With Fayne and Ruby Faye.
It's 50 years to the hour
Since they said "I do."
Now they want to share
Their joy with me and you.
On Sunday, April 7,
From 3 till 5 o'clock,
First Methodist Church,
600 South Texas block.
In De Leon, of course,
Where the two reside.
It's not far away,
A short car ride.
Easter Bunny won't miss you;
He'll be there too!
With Easter eggs and goodies
For the younger crew.
There'll be cake and punch
And low-fat munchies, too.
Please come to the party
So we don't miss you.
Come enjoy their company
A friendly hand to squeeze.
They have requested,
"No gifts please."
If you've a special memory,
Or something no one knows,
Something you appreciate,
Or a tale of highs and lows,
Something you will never
forget,
About Fayne or Ruby Faye,
Write it down and bring it,
To put in a book that day.
And if you wish at half past
three
To share it with us all,
A Special Memory Tribute will
Be held there in the hall.
We'd like you to tell the
story,
Touching or funny or glad,
But till then keep it a secret
From our Mom and Dad.
