JOHNSON, Ora Lee, Mrs. LCAP 3/4/1998 Kinder -- Funeral services for Mrs. Ora Lee Singie Johnson, 78, will beat 2 p.m. Thursday, March 5, in Ardoin's Funeral Home. The Rev. Jimmy Ward will officiate. Burial will be in Kinder Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Thursday. Mrs. Johnson died at 2:49 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 1998, in a local hospital. A native of Elton, she was a resident of the Kinder area. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mary Lou Sortino of Omaha, Nebr., Mrs. Linda Pair of Shreveport and Mrs. Judy Huchingson of Texarkana, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Kendall and Mrs. June Snell, both of Lake Charles, Mrs. George Reeves of Ragley and Mrs. Tootsie Sonnier of Napoleonville

Jack Hillman Allen, 78, a native of Wilmington, N.C., and resident of Lockport, died at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2000. A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at Victory Life Church in Lockport. He is survived by his wife, Trudy Naylor Allen; two sons, Jack Edward and James Stephen Allen; two sisters, Margaret DeHart and Dorothy Hunt; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward O. and Rosa Belle S. Allen; one son, John Wayne Allen; two brothers, Edward and Eugene Allen; and four sisters, Lillian Pair, Ethel Larson, Lula Graves and Mildred Herring. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and a member of Victory Life Church.
