English cemeteries show an appalling
lack of care. No, it's worse than that.
They excuse themselves by
saying they are "conservationists". The sign
at this cemetery in Rawmarsh
offers guided tours to see their "rare" insects.
It seems odd to me that they don't
exercise "conservation" in their own
back yards. The English are proud of
their gardens, which are well kept.
Apparently they are not proud of any
part of their heritage
that does not bring in tourist dollars.
