Elisha Allis, son of Ichabod Allis and Mary Belden , was born December 03,1716 in Hatfield, Hampden Co., Ma. He married Anna Marsh December 20, 1744 in Hatfield, Hampshire Co., Ma. He died WFT Est 1717-1806. Anna Marsh was born between 1720 and 1721.

Christening info according to 1993 IGI. Death in 1779 according to HofD According to History of Whately he was a Capatain, owned a house in Whately in 1771, & died in 1784. According to a biographical sketch of grandson Josiah in "History of the Connecticut Valley"v2pg732(RecBkPg68) he bought from Thomas Crafts, a farm on Spruce Hill later known as the Elliot C Allis farm in Whately. He had 12 slaves and was an influenential member of the community. According to this reference he die

19. Dea. THOMAS4 CUTLER, Jr., (Thomas,3 James,2 James1) was
born September 30, 1719, at Lexington, and died November
28, 1760, of small pox, in Western (now Warren).
He was a husbandman by occupation, and married widow
Sarah Fiske, daughter of Samuel Reade of Burlington,
Mass., born October 8, 1724. With her, he joined the
church in Lexington, December 6, 1741, and they were
dismissed to the church in Western, May 17, 1752. She
married, for her third husband, Elisha Allis of Hatfield,
Mass., and died March 25, 1807, aged 82. Dea. Thomas,
Cutler, with two of his children, died the same day of
small pox, contracted by entertaining a guest. The following
was a contract of marriage between widow Sarah
Cutler and Elisha Allis (her third husband):
"To all people to whom these presents shall come, know ye: Whereas, a marriage is intended, by
God's permission, shortly to be had and solemnized between Elisha Allis of Hatfield, in the
County of Hampshire, in New England, and Sarah Cutler of Warren, in the County of Worcester,
widow. Now in case such marriage shall take effect, and for a competent jointure, the said Elisha
and Sarah have covenanted and agreed as follows, viz.: The said Elisha covenants and agrees to
and with the said Sarah, that in case the said Sarah shall survive him and become his widow, that
as and for her dower in his estate he now has, or inheritance he shall or may hereafter have, she,
the said Sarah, shall have the use, possession and improvement of one third part of his real estate,
whether housing or lands, for and during the full term of her natural life; and the said Elisha
further covenants and agrees to relinquish, and does hereby relinquish all claims in the personal
estate of the said Sarah that she is now possessed of, except what is by this agreement or
covenant specially agreed by the said Sarah he shall have, use and enjoy. And the said Sarah
Cutler covenants and agrees to and with the said Elisha Allis, that in case she shall survive him
that she will accept the use and improvement of one third part of his real estate, in manner and
during the term aforesaid, in full satisfaction of her dower, that she might claim by virtue of her
said marriage (in case it take ffect) to and in any other estate the said Elisha now has or may dye seized of; and the said Sarah further agrees to and with the said Elisha that he shall have, possess and enjoy for and during the time of their intermarriage, her dower or thirds to or in the real estate of her late husband, Mr.
Thomas Cutler deceased, and the slaves, rent and profits arising from and out of the same by any
ways or means whatsoever, to his sole and absolute use and benefit. And the said Sarah further
agrees with the said Elisha that he shall have the use and improvement of her silver plate and
other household goods that she now has and shall furnish his the said Elisha's house withall, and
also three of her cows during the time of her intermarriage, and at the end of such term he or his
heirs shall have or enjoy one-third of such silver plate and other household goods and one of the
said cows as his or their own estate forever, and also that he shall have the service and benefit of
her negro slave named Ann during the term of ten years, in case their intermarriage shall continue
so long. And the said Elisha further covenants to and with the said Sarah for himself, heirs,
executors and administrators, that if she survive him she shall have two-thirds of the plate and
household goods that he shall actually receive with and from her upon their marriage, or the
circumstances they may then be in, without his being accountable for the wear thereof, or being
made worse by usage, and also two of the cows or other two of equal value, the several articles to
be delivered and returned to her at his decease, she being then living; and in case of the said
Sarah's decease before the said Elisha's, then two-thirds of the plate and household goods, also
two of the cows, or other two of equal value, shall be at her decease, delivered and returned to
her heirs in the circumstance and state in which they were agreed to be returned to the said Sarah
had she been living. And the said Elisha further agrees that if the said Sarah survives him, or his
heirs, upon the intermarriage ceasing, shall have the whole of the silver plate if she or they desire
it, she or they allowing for one-third of the value thereof to him or his heirs, to be paid in the
other household goods agreed to be returned as aforesaid. And the said Elisha further covenants with the said Sarah that he will provide suitable meat, drink and washing
and lodging and apparel, for two of her children, namely, Bethia Cutler and Oliver Cutler until
they shall arrive respectively to the age of twenty-one years, without charging them therefor or
appropriating to himself any portion thereof. Nevertheless, it is hereby intended and to be
understood that in case the said Elisha decease before they arrive respectively to the aforesaid
age, that then they nor either of them are to receive any further support out of his estate or
charges toward their maintenance; nor is the said Elisha to provide for them longer than they shall
dwell with him, and he have the benefit of their labor and other earnings, nor is he to be at loss or
charge for them in case of sickness or any extraordinary casualties or accidents befalling them. In
witness whereof we, the said Elisha and Sarah have hereunto interchangeably set our hands and
seals, this fourteenth day of January, Anno Domini, 1765.
