He had been a farmer but more recently a day laborer. He enlisted in 9th Reg of Mass. under William Watson Co.& Col Weston serving 3 yr a
s private and discharged at West Point on 9 Apr 1780. Again enlisting but as a seargent in 3rd Reg Mass under Michael Jackson & Capt. Wade till 23 Dec 1783. An Aaron Allis is mentioned in "General Index to Revolutionary War Records"T515 Roll 1.
