Joan Allis, daughter of Robert Allis , was born 1623 in England.


Notes for Joan Allis:

John Graves and his wife in 1635, came to the Colonies and settled in Concord, Massachusetts. He belong to the church of which Rev. Peter Bulkley was teacher. He was one of the signers of the petition to the General Court of Massachusetts in 1643 in favor of Ambrose Martin, and in 1644 his name was attached to a document pledging its signers to the support of the Government. He was said to have been master of the "Tryall", the first ship built in America, in 1648; he died in 1704. [Research of Harold A. Danforth, WorldConnect]
