Parlegreco Tree

Parlegreco Tree

  Welcome to my family site!
I'd like to start out by saying thanks to all who have helped me in adding and correcting the information on these pages. Here's hoping that this will be passed on from generation to generation so those that follow may know their roots.
This is how it all started based on information I was able to get from the Internet and from other peoples memories. Some of the facts being word of mouth may be slightly distorted, but hopefully as close to the truth as possible. Also please take the time to sign the guestbook below and let me know what you think.

Starting with the Parlegreco side, my great grandfathers and grandmothers were all born in Italy. Their children were also born there, but soon immigrated to the United States. The little town of Enna, Sicily is where it all started for our side,(at least as far as research provided). And thanks to Judy we now know how our name came about. I always thought it was French for "speak greek" when in fact it's Greek for "Greek Speaker".

On the Ragusa/Gulino side they too were born in Italy and their children also immigrated to the U.S.
Forgive me for anyone I may have forgotten to mention. Also forgive me for any misspellings.
If you're a Parlegreco or a descendent of one of the related links above and have more information for me, I would appreciate any missing info you may have.

Please E-mail me and let me know what you do have. If I can use it I will write you back and we’ll see how it can work.
I'm especially interested in any thing related to my ancestors. If you have any pictures that may be missing they would be appreciated.

As new info becomes available I will post it to the appropriate page or create new ones as the info dictates. So again I can't stress enough how important any info you have is to me and in improving this site, for our sakes and the sakes of our descendants.

I had to revise and create separate pages for Gaetano and Angelo because the pictures would take too long to load. Hopefully that will correct the problem.

We had a family reunion July 1, 2006. Most of the cousins were in attendance. A good time was had by all and some new and interesting info came out. One is that I found out there were two more boys and a girl to the Gaetano clan than I knew about. Of course I'll add what I heard and hope it's accurate. If anyone knows more about this please send me the info. Also and I thought this would be a good idea for another page is I heard some scary stories about our grandfather and I thought it would be great to add a page just for stories both good and bad about all, including our own parents and ourselves. Please let me know what you all think on this subject.
