Dear Dorothy & Curt

I know that you'll be surprised to receive this letter from me, but I just felt like writing to you. We have heard about you for the last couple of years and I feel as tho' it's hi-time that I do something about it, especially since Jackie sent us a copy of her composition about the "Sisters". We thought that is one of the prettiest pieces that we have ever read. I told her that it made me feel proud to be related to you all. She answered with "You sure know how to make a girl feel good". Well, it made us feel just as good to read it.

Dorothy, I don't know wherther you have heard from Jackie since I mailed her the copy of the House in Illinois or not, but I had sent a copy of the house to Carol NATIONS adn I received a letter from her yesterday (Thursday 14th) and she identified the home and the location of it as being in Redmon, Illinois. This substantiated my belief that I had all along. She also identified the lady on the porch as Mary Ann EUBANK and she thought the little girl with her was her (Carol's) mother, and she also said that her mother was born in that bouse. I hadn't told her anything about what I thought about who the people were, or even the location of the house, but she seemed to know all about it. How lucky can we be?

The first chance that we get, we are going to take the picture to the Ohio Historical Society in Columbus Ohio and let them tell us when the picture was made. They can do that by the way the people are dressed and the style of the home. Then if not that way they can make tests on the paper that the picture was made. I'm hoping that it is old enough for the bearded guy to be James T. (Taylor) EUBANK, but I hardly think that it is that old. It's really a thrill for me, after having done all the researching that I have on these people to come up with a picture that I never expected to find.

Well folks, we would like to hear from you sometime in the near future. You know, I opened this letter by saying that I just felt like writing to you, and I hope that feling is mutual.

Sincerely, Your Cousin, Bob
