Maddox, Ludy Faye Robinson
Ludy Faye Maddox, aged 60, of Benton died Friday.
She was a retired
inspector for AMF Cycle in Little Rock and a member of Fairplay Missionary
Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Steve M. Maddox of Germany,
Russell H. Maddox of Emmett, Jack C. Maddox of Benton and Darrell E. Maddox
of Camp LeJeune, North Carolina; two daughters, Linda F. Cooper and Dimity
A. Revis, both of Benton; her mother, Mrs. Mary E. Lovel of Benton; two
brothers, James O. Robinson of Benton and Clarence A. Robinson of Redfield;
two sisters, Ruby E. Freeman and May B. Shepard, both of Benton; 14 grandchildren,
four step grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Funeral will
be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ballard's Funeral Home with the Rev. Jesse
Shepard and the Rev. L. D. Campbell officiating. Burial will be at New Rosemont
Cemetery by Ballards' Funeral Home.

Bonita Dell Magie, 76, of Hot Springs died Sunday, January 4, 2004, at
home.
Born June 30, 1927, at Nimrod to Hollis and Josie Howard Magie,
she was a retired registered nurse and member of Hammond Missionary Baptist
Church.
Survivors include one brother, Paul Magie of Perryville; andtwo2
sisters, Carmon Anderson of Perryville and Ida Umphers of Little Rock.
The service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Hammond Missionary Baptist Church
with Brother Leroy Hill officiating.
Memorials may be made to Hammond
Missionary Baptist Church.

Helen Lee Rankin Magie, age 88, of Perryville, Arkansas, a gentle soul,
loving wife, and mother passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011. She was the widow
of Paul Web Magie and a member of Perryville First Baptist Church.
Survivors
include her daughters, Jan Magie of Perryville, and Sandy Magie of Houston,
Texas; sister, Artie Mae Clay of Adona.
The family would like to thank

Magie, Helen Stout
Helen (Stout) Magie, age 82, of Perryville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday,
September 21, 2005. She was born December 15, 1922, in Briggsville, Arkansas,
a daughter of William Thomas Stout and Mary Ellen (Doughty) Stout. She was
the widow of Ralph Harry "Spot" Magie, a licensed practical nurse
for 20 years and a member of the Temple Baptist Church at Perryville.
Survivors include three sons, James Ralph Magie and wife Bonnie of Perryville,
Ronnie Charles Magie and wife Frances of Perryville, and Jerry Wayne Magie
of Perryville; one sister, Jane Young of Perryville; seven grandchildren;
14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces
and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters,
and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were 2:30 p.m. Friday, September
23, at Temple Baptist Church in Perryville with the Rev. Gordon Morgan and
Dr. Bill Brown officiating.
Burial was at Volman Cemetery by Harris Funeral
Home of Morrilton.
Pallbearers were her nephews and friends.

Magie, Paul Web
Paul Web Magie, age 89, of Perryville, passed away, Monday, November
9, 2009. He was born November 19, 1920, in Nimrod, Arkansas, a son of Hollis
Magie and Josie Howard Magie. He was a proud Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a deacon and member of Perryville First Baptist Church, service manager
for Meredith Motors Lincoln Mercury in Hot Springs and worked for the forest
service in Perry County.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Lee Rankin
Magie of Perryville; daughters, Jan Magie of Perryville and Sandy Magie
of Houston, Texas; sisters, Carmen Anderson of Perryville and Ida Umphers
of Little Rock.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November
11th, at Nimrod Cemetery with Dr. Mike Stanley and Rev. Don Zimmerman officiating.

Marilee Fletcher Malloy of Benton died Thursday, December 22, 1994. She was 82. She was a retired LPN at the Benton Service Center and a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. William M. Malloy, aged 60, a retired farmer and Alcoa mining employee, died Thursday at his home near Benton. He was a veteran of World War I. Martin, Benny Frank
Ben Martin passed away peacefully on Friday October 10, 2014. Ben was
the third of seven children born to Ruby and Roy Martin in Akins, Oklahoma,
on September 23, 1928. He served his country in World War II as a crewman
on the destroyer USS John Rodgers (DD-574) in the South Pacific. After the
war he finished high school in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, and had a working career
that included shrimp fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, lineman and later safety
supervisor for KCP&L, various small business ventures including real
estate.
Ben is survived by his sons Dennis, Ben, and Fred; daughters-in-law
Jan (Dennis) and Lynn (Fred); grandchildren Lisa and her husband Chad, Evan
and his wife Cheryl, Colleen, Kyle, and Lauren; two great granddaughters
Faith and Emma; as well as his sister Anne Anderson and brothers Jay and
David Martin and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his long-time
companion, Bea Jewell, her children, and grandchildren who loved Ben as
another grandfather. Last but not least, he is survived by his beloved dog
Goldie.
Ben had a loving heart and had a positive impact on all who
knew him. He leaves a void in the hearts of all of us who knew and loved
him and he will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to
a "No Kill Animal Shelter" would be what Ben would want.
A
time of remembrance for friends and family will be held on Saturday October
18, at 3:00 p.m. at 7618 NW Paradise Lane in Parkville, Missouri 64152.

Martin, Lena Mae Holloway
Mrs. Lena Mae Holloway Martin, 82, of Little Rock, formerly of Smackover, a retired teacher, died Monday. Mrs. Martin retired from teaching in 1974, after 40 years. She taught three years at the Japanese relocation centers in Southeast Arkansas during World War II. She returned to the Arkansas public schools in 1945 where she taught for seven years in the Jacksonville Public Schools. Later she transferred to Wilson Elementary School in the Little Rock School District until her retirement in 1974. She was a member of the Mabelvale United Methodist church, the Arkansas Education Association, the National Education Association, National Association of Retired Teachers, and a lfietime member of Parent Teachers Association. Survivors are her husband of 50 years, Vance Martin; a son, Robert V. Martin of Maumelle; a grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside serve will be at 1 p.m. today at Forest Hills Memorial Park by the Rev. Robert E. L. Bearden. Burial will be by Ruebel Funeral Home.
Martin, Napoleon B.
Napoleon Martin - N. Martin died in a Little Rock hospital Sunday. He had been a railroad trainman since 1916 and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen and the Asbury Methodist Church. He was a native of Benton, son of the late J. S. Martin, who operated a large farm on the Saline River South of Rock Island depot. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nettie Martin; two sons, Vance of Jacksonville and James R. of Little Rock; two daughters, Inez of Little Rock and Mrs. Leah Skophammer of Albert Lea, Minnesota; his stepmother of Benton; three brothers and four sisters, including Mrs. William Brearley of North Little Rock. Massa, Henry A., Jr
Henry A Massa, Jr, age 63, of Little Rock passed away Nov 29, 2002. He was born Jan 23, 1939, in Little Rock, Ar, to the late Henry A Massa Sr and Sophie Urbani Massa. Mr Massa was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Good Counsel. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting and enjoyed spending time with his famiily He was a generous man that touched many lives in different ways and will be greatly missed by family and friends. He graduated from Subiaco Academy in 1956. He served in the US Navy and was a member of The American Legion Post #1. He retired after 40 years of service as a lab technician for Chicopee, Johnson & Johnson. Maxwell, Betty Crites Pew
Betty Pew Maxwell, 97, of Atkins died Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at the
Atkins Nursing Center.
She was born in Moreland December 20, 1911, the
daughter of Willie and Annie Tackett Crites and was their only child. She
was a charter member of the Atkins First Free Will Baptist Church.
She
was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Pew, in 1962. In 1966, she
married Moddy Maxwell, who also preceded her in death in February of 1992.
She was also preceded in death by a great-niece, Lauren Shaw.
She is
survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, James Fay and Lou Ann Pew of
Conway, John and Ann Pew of Atkins, Truman and Virginia Pew of Russellville;
two daughters and sons-in-law, Ida Ruth and Burton Dunlap of Wichita, Kansas,
and Agnes and Charles Burris of Flint, Michigan; grandchildren, Ronnie Burris,
Janet Burris, Linda Burris and husband Brian, Dan and Jan Dunlap, Van and
Cami Dunlap; Bentley and Angela Pew, Sarah and William Shaw of Conway; Bill
Pew, Tracy and Jerry Anderson; Laura Stephenson, Mike and Trace Pew, Jeff
and Lisa Pew; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday at the Atkins First Free Will Baptist church
with the Rev. Johnny McCoy officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by

Betty Jane May, 58, of Hot Springs died Friday, February 12, 1993, in
a Little Rock hospital.
She was secretary and treasurer of Yams, Inc.
She was a member of Oaklawn Church of God, Women's Welcome Club, B. J. PEO
Sisterhood, Hot Springs Country Club Ladies Social Club and Hot Springs
Country Club Women's Golf Association.
Survivors include her husband,
Roy V. May of Hot Springs; two sons, Roger T. May of Hot Springs and Jerry
Rex May of Orlando, Florida; one daughter, Donna May Cosgrove of Tulsa,
Oklahoma; and four grandchildren, Nikki and Ashley May and Conner and Davis
Cosgrove.

McAllister, Arline Callison
Arline A. McAllister, 82, of Benton died Thursday, March 2, 2006. She was born December 31, 1923, in Benton. Mrs. McAllister retired from AT&T, where she worked in the factory. She was a member of the Pioneer Association and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Kathleen Callison; and her husband, Garland McAllister. Survivors include three daughters, Nina S. Spears, Patsy L. Kinder and Dorothy D. Durham; one sister, Odell Thomas; seven grandchildren, James Kinder, Rick Kinder, Cheryl Roland, Skeet Spears, Darron Spears, Stephanie Scott and Chad Durham; and 10 great-grandchildren. James Franklin McAllister of Benton died Wed, July 4, 2001. He was 77. He was born March 29, 1924, and was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from Reynolds Metals and was a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Lenelle McAllister; his parents, Edward and Lillie McAllister; three sisters, Loree McAllister, Lucille McAllister and Ida Bell Raney; four brothers, Floyd McAllister, Garland McAllister, Jody McAllister, and Gilbert McAllister. He is survived by his brother, Lewis McAllister of Benton; one sister, Marie Tate of Benton; a step-son, Mike Freeze; a step-daughter, Diane Ford; and several nieces and nephews. Louis McAllister of Benton died Saturday, November 22, 2003, at Saline Memorial Hospital. He was 87. He was a lifelong resident of Saline County. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Smith McAllister; and a son, Louis David McAllister. Mr. McAllister attended Walnut Street Church of God. McCool, James William "Button"
Mr. James William "Button" McCool 74, of Benton went to be
with the Lord on Friday May 30, 2008, after fighting a courageous battle
with emphysema. He loved his family, children and grandchildren, who will
miss him immensely and always remember his big heart. He was born February
26, 1934, in Bauxite to the late Jesse Clinton McCool and Bessie Rodgers
McCool. He was employed with Alcoa for over 30 years until he retired as
Hydral Department Head. Mr. McCool was also preceded in death by his wife
of 54 years Mary Frances McCool, and a brother, Henry McCool.
Survivors,
daughters, Sherry Fallon and husband Paul, Tina Croft and husband David,
Raye Ann Mustain and husband Kevin all of Benton; Janey Lacy and husband

Mary Frances McCool, 71, Benton, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother
and friend went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 27, 2008, at Baptist
Medical Center with family and friends gathered around her. She was born
March 10, 1936, in Saline County to the late James Walton and Frances Peeler
Smith. Mary was retired from Benton Service Center and the Pinnacle House
as a L.P.T.N.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, L.
J. and Harvey Smith, sisters, Brenda Smith and Dorothy Bullard all of Benton.
Survivors are her husband of 54 years, James "Button" McCool;
daughters, Sherry Fallon (Paul), Tina Croft (David), Raye Ann Mustain (Kevin)
of Benton, Janey Lacy (Jim) of Fayetteville and Lisa Gallagher (Sean) of
Centennial, Colorado; two brothers, John Smith of Justin, Texas, and Ron

Hardie Lee Dillinger McCray, 79, died September 6, 2012, at her home
in Sheridan, Arkansas. She was born August 29, 1933, in West Plains, Missouri,
to John Hardin and Viola Skaggs Dillinger.
She was preceded in death
by her parents; husbands, Bill Horvath and Jack McCray; sister, Hazel Hardwick
Bores; and brothers, Joseph Robinson Bobby Dillinger, Carl Hardie Jackie
Dillinger and John Hardie Dillinger. She is survived by her daughter Jeanne
(Kim) Gartman, of Sheridan; two granddaughters who were the light of her
life, Jessica Erin Bubbus (Alan) and Kaitlin Shay Steele (Kyle) of Little
Rock; great-grandson, David Alan Bubbus, II, whom she adored; her dear sister
and best friend, Verda George; brother Carl Hardwick (Ruby) and many precious
nieces and nephews.

McCray, Jack R., Jr.
Jack R. McCray, age 62, of Benton, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015.
He was born in Little Rock on August 14, 1952, to Jack McCray and Gloria
Hall Spearman. He was preceded in death by his father.
Jack is survived
by his wife of 41 years, the love of his life, Suzanne Byrd McCray; two
daughters, Jennifer McCray Fritz and her husband Scott, and Tara McCray
Bennett and her husband Matt; three granddaughters, Hannah Grace Fritz,
Abby Renee Fritz, and Kloe Rae Bennett; his brother, Kevin McCray and his
wife Jo; and his sister, Kristy Tellez and her husband Willie.
After
serving in the Air Force, Jack became a third-generation real estate broker
in the family business in Benton. He had a long and varied career in residential
and commercial real estate brokerage and development, in banking, and in
business. He worked for Cooper Communities in Hot Springs; for Landers Automotive
Group and Everett Buick GMC in Benton; and for Bailey Corporation, Deltic
Timber Corporation, Bank of the Ozarks, and VCC LLC in Little Rock. Through
his work with Bailey Corporation and Deltic Timber Corporation, Jack developed
more than 35 residential neighborhoods in Little Rock.
Jack was active
in the community. At age 24, he became the youngest alderman ever elected
in Benton. He served on the Real Estate Industry Council of the Federal
Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He also served as a member and in leadership
roles with numerous organizations, including the Arkansas Realtors Association,
the Urban Land Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers,
the Little Rock Rotary Club, and the municipal, state, and national home
builders associations.
Jack was known for his stellar reputation and
for his gregarious and optimistic personality. He was outspoken about his
faith in Christ. He was a long-standing member of First Baptist Church in
Benton and also attended Agape Church in Little Rock. He leaves behind many
family members and countless friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation
will be at the Smith-Benton Funeral Home at 322 North Market Street in Benton
from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2015. The funeral service
will be at First Baptist Church, 211 South Market Street in Benton at 11:00
a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2015, followed by burial at Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Early today
Sheridan man dies in automobile accident
Jack McCray,
44, of Sheridan was killed early this morning when the car he was driving
ran under the trailer of a tractor-trailer truck rig on Highway 167, according
to the State Police.
McCray's business interests in Benton include
partnerships with his brother, Eddie McCray of Benton, in Bowl-A-Way Lanes,
McCray Real Estate and Saline County Rentals, Inc.
State Trooper Jerry
Allen of Sheridan investigated the accident. Allen reported that the crash
occurred about 11 miles north of Sheridan at about 2:30 a.m.
His report
state that McCray's car was sound bound when it crossed the centerline
and ran under the trailer of a northbound tractor trailer rig driven by
Jerry D. Bates of Louisiana.
McCray was on his way to a farm he owns
near Sheridan when the wreck occurred.
Survivors include McCray's
widow, Mrs. Leigh McCray of Sheridan; two sons, Jackie McCray of Benton
and Kevin McCray of Little Rock; a daughter, Kristi McCray of Little Rock;
a stepdaughter, Susie, of Sheridan; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. E. McCray

Robert T. McDaniel, aged eighty years, died at the home of his daughter,

McGrew, Hazel Paralee White
Hazel P. McGrew celebrated 99 years on this earth serving Jehovah and
raising a loving family. The shining light in our lives left us on October
11, 2007. She left behind a family that could have not felt more loved.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Walter McGrew and a dear
sister, Erma Gray.
She is survived by and will be lovingly remembered
by a younger brother and sister, Marvin White and Alma Gathright; two daughters,

McNeill, William Lynn
William L. McNeill, a loving resident of his hometown, Hot Springs, Arkansas,
died in Houston, Texas, early Sunday morning, May 3, 1998, at the age of
66.
William was born November 1, 1931, in Hot Springs and was raised
and schooled in Hot Springs until joining the U.S. Army at the age of 19.
William proudly served his country during the Korean War from 1952 until
1956, after which he returned to Hot Springs and worked at the local newspaper
office.
William was being treated in Houston for numerous medical ailments.
He had suffered many years from complications of rheumatoid arthritis as
well as heart and lung disease.
William was a member of the VFW (Veterans
of Foreign Wars) Post 2278 and Moose Lodge 1252.
William leaves one daughter,
Diedre Michelle Strack of Wisconsin, and two grandchildren, Sarah Strack,
age 4, and Adam Strack, age 2, ad well as his former wife, Dolly Sue McNeill
of Hot Springs. Brothers and sisters surviving William are Dixie Lee McNeill
Hudlow of Austin, Texas, James E. McNeill of Higden, Arkansas, and Mary
McNeill Blanchard, Harold M. McNeill and Grace McNeill Heckler of Houston.
William enjoyed his extended family of nieces and nephews and was lovingly
attended by his nephew Jim Blanchard of Houston, William's cousin, Myrtle
Terry, along with many close friends in Hot Springs, were especially dear
to William. He will be fondly remembered.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death
by her husband of over sixty-two years, Eugene McPherson; two daughters-in-law,

Logging Accident Friday Fatal to Bill J. Miles
Billy John Miles, age
38, of Fordyce, an independent logging contractor for Georgia-Pacific Corp.,
was killed last Friday morning, March 28, when a log from his truck fell
off the top on him.
He was hauling logs for Georgia-Pacific Corporations'
Fordyce plywood operation and the accident occurred on the log yard at the
mill here about 8:15 a.m.
A Georgia-Pacific Corp. official said Mr. Miles
brought in his truck, took it to the scaler and had gone to the unloading
area. He was taking a binder off the logs and one fell from the top of the
truck on him, the official said.
A native of Bodcaw in Hempstead County,
Mr. Miles was a graduate of Fordyce High School and had been a logging contractor
since 1950. he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fordyce and a
Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anne Butler Miles; two sons,
Mike and Mark; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Miles, all of Fordyce; five
sisters, Mrs. Sam Hearnsberger, Mrs. Bob Bell and Mrs. Lewis Lamb, Jr.,
of Fordyce, Mrs. O. H. Darling, Jr., of Crossett and Mrs. Jim Easterling

Moore, Laila Oleen Hawkins
Laila Oleen Moore of Benton, who was a retired State Revenue Department
clerk, died Thursday. She was 75.
She was a member of First Baptist Church
of Benton. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Moore.
Survivors include a son, Dwight D. Moore of Benton; a stepson, Virgil Moore
of Benton; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral will

Mrs. Lula Moore, 86, died Tuesday afternoon in a local hospital. She was born in Saline County and had been a resident of Saline and Garland Counties all her life. She was a Baptist. Morgan, Thelma Eloise Albright
Malvern - Thelma Eloise Albright Morgan, 78, of Malvern died Friday,
December 10, 1999, in a Malvern hospital.
Born September 15, 1921, at
Benton to William Henry and Nancy Ellen Ewell Albright, she was a beautician
and member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband,
William Morgan of Malvern; one son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Shirley
Morgan of Malvern; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Morgan and Garry
Elrod of Malvern; one brother, John Albright of Hot Springs; two sisters,
Susie Smith and Dee Williams, both of Hot Springs; and three grandchildren,
Marty Morgan, Jonathan Morgan Elrod and Colby Edward Elrod.
Services
will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Atkinson Funeral Home chapel with Brothers Mac
Gates and Keith Stewart officiating.
Pallbearers will be William Mitchell,
J. D. Smith, W. S. Cagle, Larry Elrod, Danny Gill, George Clary, Johnny

Mrs. T. R. Murdock, 76, died suddenly at her home in Pine Bluff yesterday
morning at 2:30.
Survivors include her husband, T. R. (Dock) Murdock
and two sons, D. B. Murdock of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and William T. Murdock of
Eastman, Alabama.

Murdock, Josiah Bass
Josiah (J. B.) Murdock of Route 1 died Monday at Jefferson Hospital.
A retired mill operator, he was a son of the late Tom T. and Mattie Bass
Murdock. He had held various office sin the Grapevine Auxiliary and the
Jefferson County Singing Convention, and was a former postmaster of the
Double Wells Post Office.
He was a member of Double Wells Pentecostal
Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Willie Eady Murdock, whom he
married in 1902; two sons, Creed Murdock and Ernest Murdock, both of Pine
Bluff; two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Clemens of Poyen and Mrs. Kenneth Bryant
of Mayflower; three brothers, Frank Murdock, Joe Murdock, and Robert Murdock,
all of Pine Bluff; a sister, Mrs. Birtie Jones of Poyen; nine grandchildren;
15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services
were at 2 p.m. today at Double Wells Pentecostal Church. Burial was at Lee
Cemetery by South Funeral Home.

Kalamazoo, Michigan - Olen Homer Murdock, 79, of Kalamazoo, Michigan,
died May 18, 2003, in Michigan.
He was born April 29, 1924, at Pine Bluff,
a son of the late Frank L. Murdock and Mary Emma Jones Murdock.
He was
preceded in death by two wives, Clara Mae Stevens Murdock and Hallie Marie
Cox Murdock; an infant daughter, Deborah Cathlene Murdock; two brothers;
and three sisters.
Survivors include one son, Olen Lee Murdock of Sims,
Arkansas; one daughter, Cleatha Sturgeon of Portage, Michigan; one brother,
Gurvin Murdock of Pine Bluff; three sisters, Bessie McDaniel and Mary S.
Clement, both of Pine Bluff, and Alice Fontenot of Dallas; four grandchildren;
and seven great-grandchildren.

at Hale-South Funeral Home of Pine Bluff with Bobby Hartsfield and Bruce

L. [T.] R. (Doc) Murdock, 92, of Sheridan, died Saturday at Jefferson
Hospital.
He was a retired Baptist minister and was the son of the late
T. T. Murdock and Margaret Ann Kelley Murdock.
He was born at Redfield
and was educated at Double Wells. He was a member of Hardin Baptist Church.
He was married to Onez Brown, who died in 1953. He married Ollie Newman
in 1967.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, William Tom Murdock of
Fort Valley, Georgia, and Doice M. Murdock of Tulsa; four brothers, J. D.
Murdock of Conway, Robert L. Murdock and Frank Murdock and Joe Murdock,
all of Pine Bluff; a sisters, Mrs. Birdie Wilson of Poyen; 10 grandchildren;
and 15 great-grandchildren.

Myers, J. C.
Dr. J.C. Myers, 87, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away June 20,
2011. J.C. was born June 18, 1924, in Amity, Arkansas, to the late George
N. and Catherine (McMinnis) Myers. He is preceded in death by his parents;
a sister Opal and brothers Fred, Jim, George, James, and Velmar Myers of
the Amity and Hot Springs area.
Dr. Myers was a member of Park Hill Baptist
Church, North Little Rock. He graduated from Ouachita Baptist University
in 1952, received his Bachelor of Divinity i1966 and Doctor of Theology
I 1970 from Luther Rice Seminary, Jacksonville, Florida. He served as pastor
for several Baptist churches from 1947 until his retirement in 2006, including
Rosedale Baptist Church, Little Rock, from 1955-1960 and 2003 - 2006, and
First Baptist Church, North Little Rock, Arkansas, from 1960 - 1984.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margaret Neal Myers; one brother,
Bill (Vonnie) Myers, Little Rock; one son, Bob (Linda) Myers, Sherwood;
daughter, Judy Logan, North Little Rock; grandson, Bobby (Lauren) Myers
Jr., Jonesboro; granddaughters, Samantha (Christian) Lesher, Sherwood; Jennifer
Powell, Sherwood; Cristin (Steve) Hinson, Hot Springs; two great-granddaughters,
Lydia Logan and Leigh Ann Powell; and two great-grandsons, Bobby Myers III,
and Jackson Lesher.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, June
24th, 2011, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724

Myers, Margaret Ann Neal
Margaret Ann (Neal) Myers entered Eternal Life on March 10, 2016, and
was reunited with her husband, mother, sister and other relatives.
Margaret
was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on April 9, 1924, to Guffie Morgan and
Villa Alice Neal. She graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1944 and
worked at the Ordnance Plant in Jacksonville, Arkansas, and Southwestern
Bell Telephone Company in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
She married J. C. Myers
on January 15, 1944, and shortly after began her life as a preacher's wife.
J. C. and Margaret had been married 67 years upon his death in 2011. Margaret
was a very talented and resourceful woman. She was an accomplished seamstress,
cook and home decorator for her family. She loved the Lord and showed that
sweet love to her family and others. She was a member of Park Hill Baptist
Church, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Margaret was preceded in death
by her parents; her sister, Mary Loy Rynders and her husband, J. C. Myers.
Margaret is the beloved mother of two children, Bob Myers (Linda) of
Sherwood and Judy Logan of North Little Rock. She is also survived by four
grandchildren, Samantha Lesher (Chris) and Bobby Myers Jr. (Lauren) both
of Sherwood; Jennifer Powell of North Little Rock and Cristin Hinson (Steve)
of Benton; seven great grandchildren: Lydia Logan, Leigh Ann Powell, Ryleigh
Reed, Bobby Myers III, Kel Myers, Jackson Lesher and Zyler Hinson.
Thanks
to Arkansas Hospice and Premier Health and Rehab, especially Sheree, Melinda
and Doris for their wonderful care of Margaret.
Visitation will be held
