Admiralty,
10th April, 1860.

With reference to the Rocket Questions as established in the Gunnery Book, at pages 64 and 65, my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty are pleased to direct, with the view of giving greater security against accidents, and to ensure the Rocket Tube being clear, that one Rocket shall be passed by hand completely rough the Rocket Tube before commencing fire.

This precaution is to be observed in addition to those laid down in the answer to Question 3, and a notation to the above effect is to be inserted in red ink at the foot of page 64 in all Gunnery Books.
