Castle Garden was New York's immigrant landing center between 1855 & 1890. Castle Garden was located on the southwest tip of Manhattan.
The Danish flag (Dannebrogen) showing a white cross of Philip on red, came into use in the 14th century and is believed to be the oldest national flag on earth.
