KENTUCKY CABIN
High Bridge, Ky.

This was Daniel and Rebecca Boone's home in High Bridge, Fayette County, Kentucky. Daniel moved his family from the Yadkin River Valley of North Carolina to Kentucky in 1773- 1775. They left Kentucky and settled in Missouri in 1799.

We put it here as this is probably a typical type cabin similar to those that our ancestors may have built when they moved west over the Cumberland Gap into Kentucky.

Note the rack for drying 'hides' in front of the house to the right.
