Peavey, Kathleen Rena of Gladwin, Michigan, age 47, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 22, 2010.
She was born on June 2, 1962 in Sedalia, Missouri, the daughter of Donald R. & Phyllis M.(Griebel) Kingry. She married Robert C. Peavey Sr. on June 8, 1984 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was owner of K.P. Ashphalt Service, Gladwin. She had lived in Gladwin County for the last 19 years, previously residing in Saginaw and was a member of the Wooden Shoe Big Boys Club.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Peavey Sr. of Gladwin; 3 children: Robin (Fred) Dietzel of Saginaw; Robert Jr. (Wendy) Peavey also of Saginaw; Theresa Peavey of Bridgeport. Their children gave them 11 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild. Also surviving, mother, Phyllis Kingry of Gladwin. She has 2 brothers: Donald (Cindy) Kingry & Ronald Kingry and 1 sister, Belinda (Rick) Mosher. She has many nieces & nephews as well as great nieces & great nephews. Preceding her in death is her father, Donald Raymond Kingry in February, 1993.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, February 25, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 from 5-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Kenneth L. Peavey, Sr., 79, of Gladwin MI died March 21, 2005 at Gladwin Nursing and Rehabilitation Community following a short illness.
He was born in Toledo, Ohio on Feb. 1, 1926. He was a Ford Truck Driver with American Seating in Grand Rapids, retiring after 25 years. He lived in Gladwin County since 1998, having previously resided in Saginaw.
Surviving are his children, Robert (Kathy) Peavey of Gladwin, Linda (Rick) Remmert of Midland, Larry (Theresa) Peavey of Woodland, David (Barb) Peavey of Freemont, Karen Barker of Petoskey, Kenneth Peavey, Jr. of South Carolina, and Crystal Peavey of Arizona; 15 grandchildren and 16 Great grandchildren; and two sisters, Donna (Edward) Smith of Columbus, Georgia and Wilma (Erwin) Eldrid of Rockford, Michigan. He was predeceased by two sons, John and Richard, and one daughter, Debbie.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements were by Hall Funeral Home of Gladwin.

Lenard W. Peavey, 53, of Quincy, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo. He was born Oct. 27, 1957 in Coldwater to Wayne and Sarah (Irwin) Peavey. Lenard was a commercial painter.
Survivors include daughter Jennifer Peavey (Matt Gleason) of Coldwater, son Christopher (Crystal) Peavey of Coldwater, sisters Linda Nighswander of Coldwater, Diana Parks of Frazeysburg, Ohio and Ruth (Roy) Houck of Orland, Ind., brother Claude Peavey of Coldwater and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dale Peavey and sister Tereasa Marie Peavey.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel, Quincy, with Pastor Don Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Quincy. Lyle E. Peavey, age 72, of Battle Creek, formerly of Bronson, died early Tuesday morning, March 10, 2009, at the Manor Nursing Home in Battle Creek. He had been in failing health.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Thursday Mar 12, 2009 at the West Girard Cemetery, north of Coldwater with Pastor Terry Siler officiating. Arrangements are by the Kolcz Funeral Home of Bronson.

ALBION, MI
Age, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 24, 2010 at Magnum Health care in Albion. Marjorie was the first daughter born to Claude and Ruth (Zeller) Peavey on January 9, 1920 in Branch County. On July 3, 1954, she was united in marriage to Emery Traver who preceded her in death June 9, 2009. There were no children born of this union but their family was the many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews which they enjoyed, Family was very important to them and they loved them dearly.
She graduated from Coldwater High School and a nursing school in Oklahoma as a registered nurse. In her earlier years she did private duty nursing in homes. She was a member of the Coldwater Free Methodist Church and after moving to Albion became a member of the Albion Free Methodist Church. She held many offices in church and she attended Free Methodist camp meeting for many years. In her spare time she liked to garden and her later years did some cake decorating. She spent many hours with her Bible, Gods word, and loved to cook, bake, read, and embroidery work. Although Marjorie has departed this Life, she will always live in the hearts of all who knew her and loved her. She is survived by two sisters Jeanette Dauber of Newaygo; Frances Roe of Battle Creek; 2 Brothers Kenneth (Harriet) Peavey of White Cloud; Donald (Doris) Peavey who has a orphanage in Dessalines, Haiti; and Brother in law Hylen Traver of Coldwater. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Peavey.
Visitation for Family and Friends was on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., at Albion Free Methodist Church, 1014 Maple Street, Albion. Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the church with Rev. Robert Bolton officiating. Burial: Albion Memory Gardens Cemetery, Albion Township, MI. Marjorie W. Young, 80, of Elkton, died Saturday, April 16, 2005, at Sunny Acres Nursing Center while under hospice care with her family at her side.
She was born onDecember 30, 1924 in Jackson to the late Alfred and Lulu (Van Epps) Peavey. On February 24, 1941, she was united in marriage to Louis A. Gottschalk in Jackson and farmed west of Bad Axe for 32 years. They parted in 1973 and Louis died of cancer on
August 28, 1983.
Marge married Milton Young on March 11, 1974 in Bad Axe and they
farmed south of Elkton many years.
She was a member of the Colfax Methodist Church,
past president of the Huron County Historical Society from 1968 to 1974, and a member
of the Elkton Historical Society.
Marge enjoyed gardening, canning her vegetables and loved fishing. She also had a lot of fun growing, selling and giving away pumpkins from
her pumpkin farm at Halloween.
She is survived by her husband, Milton; two sons,Ronald Gottschalk and his wife, Harriet, of Hastings, Florida, Samuel Gottschalk and his
wife, Susan, of Elkton; daughter, Gloria LeJeune and her husband, William, of Bad Axe; daughters-in-law, Sue Gottschalk and Bonnie Gottschalk, both of Bad Axe; 13 grandchildren, Marsha, Lori, Kimberly, Bill, Bob, Jennifer, Todd, Chrystal, Denise, Cheryl, Kim, Jim and Morgan; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother, Norris Peavey, of Lakeworth, Florida; and
three sisters, Maxine Kettel, of Barryton, Monabelle Bryant, of Granite City, Illinois, and Jeanette Hall, of Monti, Utah.
Preceding her in death are four sons, Louis Jr., Ralph, John and Alvin Gottschalk; and two sisters, Mildred Ellenwood and Marion Brookins.
As she requested, private visitation and funeral services will be conducted at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Elkton. The Rev. Richard Shuart will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Elkton. Expressions of sympathy may be extended at

DETROIT---Mildred Peavey, 65, of Detroit, formerly of Adrian died yesterday
at Botsford Hospital, Farmington, where she had been a patient for a short time.
She was born May 7, 1911 in Raisin Center, the daughter of Leila and Harvey Gallaway.She married Herbert Peavey of Adrian on Feb. 13, 1929. He survives.
The couple lived in Adrian until 1945 when they moved to Detroit.
Also surviving are a son, Duane of Westland; a daughter, Suzanne Stewart of Canton Center;a sister, Eva Houck of Westland; a brother, Lloyd Gallaway of Adrian; four grandchildren;
one great-granddaughter.
Services will be 1 p.m Saturday at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home 15450 Plymouth Road, Detroit.
