Passed Away Sept 09,2002 cancer

My Mothers Sister My Aunt  Ruby Joyce Faus Saltness
Passed Away March 2003 in lubbock Texas.

March 4th 2000.  I had phone calls this week from two descendants of  Lundy Boyd Faus. I talked to Robert Faus and Clarence both of Albuquerque NM.  I had sent them letters and they both called excited to find someone working on the Faus Genealogy. I  am also excited for both of these men are closely related to
Sister Mary Euphrasia's Family.  They are descended from her brother Clarence.
I also visited with a Faus in Woodward Oklahoma who is descended from this family.

Sister Euphrasia Showing Painting She did, and a Cousin Sister Ramona Wollcott

Photo above of Sister Euphrasia and Sister Ramona Wolcott
who was a her cousin and also A Dominican sister.  I am trying to contact her.
If anyone knows her whereabouts Let me know. She is mentioned in the obituary above as being in Great Plains New York.

Good new Nov 12 2002 I found Sister Mary Ramona Wolcott|
working out of the Lincoln Nebraska Catholic Diocese
She is doing service work in Hastings Nebraska
We had a good visit (By Phone)
and I am sending her a copy of My (and Sister Euphrasias)
Faus Genealogy Book.  Sister Euphrasia's Work contains many
statements that maybe Sister Wolcott can shed light on.
She has also agreed to write a "Remembrances of Sister Euphrasia"
from her point of view. Euphrasia actually spent some time in her youth
living and working on Wolcott's Father's farm.
The main goal in getting in touch with Wolcott is that I am trying to track
down Sister Euphrasia's Boxes of Genealogy materials.
I have also been in contact with Larry Faus her Nephew (a minister)
and he has some of her materials but not all.   I have lost his email and address in my change of computers in July 2002. Maybe after 5 years
the construction at the Archives location of the Convent in Wichita KS is finished
and they might be able to locate her original materials. I am trying to verify
they have been lost or destroyed. Part of her original work
talks about donating them to a museum in Philadelphia.

Ramona Walcott died 2011 sorry I did not get to talk to her
like I wanted to.

Sent By: Father Loras Grell Religious life is such a blessing in the Church. Men and women who give their lives to Christ by vows and promises give unique and dedicated witness to the Lord. Sister Ramona reached out to my grandma after grandpa died. Grandma spent many hours volunteering for the Lord at Sister's invitation and encouragement. And Sister's mark upon my brother as his classroom teacher and upon my family is immeasurable. Her prayers for me surely played a vital role in my discernment of a vocation to the priesthood. Thank you for your strong faith, Sister Ramona, and may you rest in peace. 1952 North 36th Street, Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin Birthdate: October 16, 1930 (80) Birthplace: Rockwell, Cerro Gordo County, Iowa

Obituary Russell W. Faus
CLEARFIELD, Utah - Russell W. Faus, retired regional engineer for the Bureau of Reclamation in Billings, died March 6, 2000, in Clearfield of pneumonia. He was 88.
Born on a homestead near Ismay (Joe), on July 31, 1911, he was one of eight children of Walter J. and Anna Steen Faus. He married Barbra Lee Crow in Miles City, on Jan. 10, 1937, and they had more than 50 years together. She died in 1989.
He graduated from Terry High School and attended Montana State College for four quarters until the realities of the Depression forced him to quit. Before joining the Bureau, he supervised infrastructure and small dam work for the Works Projects Administration (WPA), worked on an Alaskan Railway construction crew and on B-17 parts fabrication at Boeing Aircraft, and managed a hardware store in Terry. He worked for the bureau at Heart Mountain, Powell and Worland, Wyo.; Huron, S.D.; and Glendive before moving to Billings in 1961. He was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Elks, and NARFE.
After his retirement, he spent about half the year at the cabin he and his wife built on the Clark's Fork River in Wyoming. He was an avid fly fisherman who tied his own flies and patiently taught his beloved granddaughters how to fish.
He also enjoyed woodworking, bowling and traveling.
He is survived by a daughter, Sandra (Paul) Perkin of Fruit Heights, Utah; two brothers, Warren of Belvedere, Calif., and Jack of Kent, Wash.; three granddaughters, Mia (Marty) Oramous of Hendersonville, N.C., Dr. Erin B.
