Hi LD,

It has been a long time since I have worked on these folks.  Thanks for the URL.  I checked over some of it, and did not find anything that leads me to believe that my husband is NOT a desc. of William Cavender and Lucretia Pierce.

Nothing stated that Lucretia was connected to Reuben Pierce.  I don't know who Lucretia's parents were, but earlier information from you and Daniel Pierce <> speculated that she might be the daughter of Reuben.

Lucretia may NOT be the daughter of Reuben, but I did not see in the information anything that says that William Cavender and Lucretia Pierce are not the parents of Rebecca Cavender who married Henry P. Cochran (previously known as Cockerham).  This is my husband's line.

Please let me know if you found information that precludes this Lucretia Pierce from being the wife of William Cavender.

My source for this information is HALL COUNTY MARRIAGES (through 1850)    https://sites.rootsweb.com/~gahall/marrearl.txt ( April 6, 2000)

My mother-in-law, Valla Garrett Jones, although born in Madison Co, GA. was conceived in Suches, Union Co. GA.  Her parents and older siblings traveled in a wagon from there to Madison Co. GA in 1912, while Molly was pregnant with Vella (b. May 1912).

All of the following attachments are given in family information gathered and distributed at reunions attended by my husband's mother's family (Cochran/Garrett/Seabolt). My mother-in-law told me that much of it came from family Bibles.  However, I do not have a copy of these old Bible records to validate the information.

My info is sorta backward from others.  Married names for females are in ( ).

I have that you are descended from Fannie Cavender ( who I have as a sister to William above) and John Abercrombie. I don''t have any further information.  Is that still valid information.  If so, that make you and my husband cousins.

Good to hear from you.  Since I have been on Ancestry, I have not gone into records and worked to reverify any of this line.  I have been working on all my Edgefield Co, SC lines of my mother.  All of her 4-g and the 5-g grandparents were there before 1790,  All 5-g's that I have died there.

Congratulations on the continued work you have done to prove connections.
