S. A. Nolen to Sam H. Cain

     THE STATE OF TEXAS
     COUNTY OF LIBERTY KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

     That I, Mrs. S. A. Nolen, (a feme sole) of the County of Liberty,State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty 00/100 Dollars, to me paid by Sam H. Cain, have Granted, Sold and Conveyed, and by these presents do grant, sell and convey unto the said Sam H. Cain,
of the County of Liberty, State of Texas, all that certain twenty three (23) acres of land out of the Isaiah Fields League situated 26 miles North of the town of Liberty, in the County of Liberty and State of Texas & out of the orginial Fields League.

     BEING the remainder of a fifty acre tract of land heretofore willed to me by my mother, Mrs. Serena Akins, said fifty acres being the Southeast quarter of a 200 acre block owned by my grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Fields, and joined on the North by a 50 acre block willed to Mrs.
Pipkins, and on the West by a 50 acre block willed to J. Stephens, and out of my 50 acres I reserve the following tracts heretofore sold by me, towit: To M. M. Collins 15 acres by deed dated August 27th, 1903; to W. E. Graham 5 acres by deed dated Nov. 28th, 1903; to C. H. Woods 5 acres by deed dated Nov. 28, 1903, in all 27 acres.

     TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging unto the said Sam H. Cain, his heirs and assigns forever. And I do hereby bind my heirs, executors and administrators, to warrant and forever defend, all and singular the said premises unto the said Sam H. Cain his heirs and assigns, against every person whosoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.

     BEFORE ME, Chas. Howes, a J. P. & Exofficio N. P. in and for Liberty County, Texas, on this day personally appeared Mrs. S. A. Nolen (a feme sole) known to me to be the person whose name is subscribed to the foregoing instrument, and acknowledge to me that she executed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed.
