Gay Cemetery

Location: At the intersection of U. S. Highway 59 and FR 62 in Moscow, Texas,
    go East on FR 62 for 3.4 miles. Turn right at the locked aluminum gate. There is no sign
    showing the cemetery name. The cemetery is .2 miles down the road behind the gate and
    the road ends at the cemetery entrance. This cemetery is located on private property and
    permission from the property owner is required to go to the cemetery.

    Thomas S. Gay and his family came from Mississippi after the Civil War to Polk County and
settled on property located between the communities of Moscow and Camden. He and some
members of his family are buried in the Gay Cemetery which was established in 1880. The
cemetery is still in use today by descendants of the Gay Family.
