Hensley Family Cemetery

    This cemetery was created by John Allen Hensley, Sr. in 1970 at his homeplace on Sandy Creek
in Polk County. He deeded one acre of land on top of a hill for the cemetery and had a small portion
of the land made as the cemetery and put a chain-link fence and gate around it.

Hensley, John Allen, Sr.  born:  Jan.  7, 1919  died:  Jul. 27, 1987

    Location:  At the intersection of US Hwy 59 Bypass and US Hwy 190, go west on US Hwy 190
for 9.1 miles; turn right on Sandydale Road and go 1.4 miles; turn left on John Hensley Road and go
1.6 miles to the Hensley homeplace. West of the home walk across Sandy Creek to a path to the top
of the hill which is about 200 yards.

Cemetery is on private property and permission to visit the cemetery is required from the property owner.
