The Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation does not
desire to have the names of their
deceased tribal members and families who are buried in the Indian Village
Cemetery
be listed on an internet website.
The public is cordially invited to visit the Reservation
and the Village Cemetery. It is
requested you show respect at the cemetery which is considered sacred
ground.
If you are unable to visit the Reservation, you can
contact the Cultural Affairs Office
for assistance with the names of those buried in the Village Cemetery.
Location: From Livingston, Texas take U. S.
Highway 190 East and go 15 miles to the
Reservation entrance. Turn right on Park Road 56 and travel .4 miles
in to the Reservation.
Turn right on Colabe Road and go one block. Cemetery is on the right
side of the road.
