Mrs. Ada V. Barron Laid To Rest In Forest Hill Cem.
"Funeral services for Mrs. Ada V. Beazley Barron
were held at chapel of Pace Funeral Home Tuesday, May 16,1950, with Rev.
E.O. Harrell, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating, assisted
by Dr. W.B. Wadsworth, past of the First Baptist Church. The order
of Eastern Star of which she was a past Worthy Matron, presented their
rites at the close of the ministers' message. Interment followed
in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Barron was born in Leggett and was the
daughter of the late Dr. W. H. Beazley and Mrs. Sarah Eugenia Beazley of
Shepherd, Texas. Mrs. Barron was a graduate of Livingston High School
and Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, and attended San Marcus Teachers
College and was teaching in Village Mills, Texas at the time she met her
late husband, Frank C. Barron. They were married in Lake Charles,
Louisiana, May 18,1918 and returned to Village Mills, where they resided
for a while, later residing in Laurel, Mississippi, Shepherd and California,
moving to Livingston in 1926. They operated a Market and Grocery
store for a number of years prior to his death.
Mrs. Barron served as clear for the Rationing Board
during the war years and since that time was in the County Welface office
as long as her health permitted. She rendered and unselfish and invaluable
service to the unfortunate of the county and the esteem in which they held
her was evidenced by the large number who, with heavy hearts, came to pay
their last respects.
Mrs. Barron was a member of the Presyterian Church
and of the Eastern Star.
Survivors are her mother, Mrs. E. S. Beazley; one
son, Frank Barron Jr.; three brothers, A. H. Beazley of Conroe, Louis Beazley
of Brenham and Joe Beazley of Livingston; two sisters Mrs. C. B. Hooper
of Los Angeles and Mrs. Mary Lyle of Houston.
Pallbearers were: J. W. James, Ton Fitze,
Ernest Cochran, Wyman Windham, Leslie Googles (Brenham), Adkins Davis,
Janes Parker and Homer Morris."
