Mrs. Knight Rites to Be In Livingston

"LIVINGSTON, June 30, (1952)-Mrs. Bessie Mae
Kersh Knight, 69, who served 35 years as postmaster at Segno before her
retirement a few years ago, died in Polk County Hospital here at 2:30 pm
Monday.
"A native of Alabama, Mrs. Knight came to
Polk County in 1895. She taught school at Segno until her marriage
to Willis Knight in 1904. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
" Surviving are the husband, Willis
Knight; three daughters, Mrs. Jennie Maye Towns of Camden, Mrs. Zera Staly
of Victoria and Miss Mayme lee Knight of Houston; two sons, Jerome Knight
of Segno and Vester K. Knight of Fairbanks; one sister, Mrs. Sallie
Griffin of Centerville, Ala., two brothers, Charley and Vester Kersh of
Humble, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
"Funeral services will be held in Pace Funeral
Home chapel here at 3 pm Tuesday, with the Rev. Robert Walters, assisted
by the Reb. R. L. Shedan, officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia
Hill Cemetery."
