County of Polk     }  A List of the Separate Property of Margarett Jane Holshousen the wife
of Claiborne Holshousen of the County of Polk State of Texas as claimed & owned exclusively
by me free and independent of my husband and all others “Viz”
Negro man named Nat about 30 years of age of Dark Complexion—
Negro man named Frank 23 years old Dark Complexion—
Negro man named Henry 22 years old Dark Complexion—
Negro Boy named Tom, 18 years old, Dark Complexion—
Negro Boy named Gabriel 14 years old Light Color—
Negro Boy named Wash, 13 years old of Dark Color--
Negro Woman named Amanda 21 years old, Dark Complexion & her two children
    James & Mary both Dark Complexion—
Negro Woman Elizabeth, 20 years old, Dark Complexion-
Negro Woman: Josephine 19 years old Dark Complexion—
Negro Woman Perine?, 22 years old Dark Complexion all of which said Negro property
above described I do claim as my Separate and independent property & as such I wish

County of Polk     }  This day before me L. S. McMickin Clerk of the County Court of
Polk County Texas personally appeared Margarett Jane Holshousen wife of Claiborne
Holshousen to me well known—who declared to me that the within & foregoing Contained
a true & correct list of her Separate Property that within named property is her own
Separate Property free and independent of her husband and as such she signed & sealed
the within for all the purposes contemplated? by the Law in such Cases Made and Provided
—Given under my hand & official Seal  May the 4th A.D. 1860—
