The State of Texas}
Polk County          }  A Schedule of property which Mariah I. Wynn, the wife of James
Winn of the said state and county now owns and possesses to wit Polly aged about
twenty years of dark complexion.   Rob aged about fourteen years of dark complexion
in which said two Negroes was owned and possessed by me at the time of my inter
marriage with my Husband James Winn  which took place in the now State of Texas
(then the Republic of Texas in the year Eighteen Hundred and forty) also one negro
 woman aged about seventeen years of dark complexion and her child about seven
months do by the name of Milton which two said last mentioned negroes have been
transferred to me by said Husband James Winn in consideration of his having sold a
negro girl that was owned and possessed by me at time of our inter marriage  and by said
Husband sold and the proceeds thereof applied to the purchase of the said woman and
child last mentioned.

Polk County         }    Personally appeared this day before me William B. Williamson
Notary Public in and for the County and State aforesaid duly commissioned and Sworn
Mariah I?  Winn the wife of James Winn with whom are to me well known who
acknowledges and claims the property described in the foregoing Schedule to be her
Separate Property and now in the possession of herself and Husband all of which She
acknowledges her professed oath  also appeared James Winn the husband of the said
Mariah L? Winn whose name is signed to the said Schedule to me well known who
acknowledges that he assigned the James and that the Property therein named is the
Separate Property of his said wife Mariah L. Winn  As Sutch I hereby Certify the Same
and sing my name and affix the Seal of my office this the fourteenth day of August
eighteen hundred and forty nine.

Note:  The following interlineation in the foregoing Schedule towit  “Me, My” in the

7th, 11th, 12th, & in the Cer. of N. P. 2nd & 10th--

Polk County           }   This is to certify that the foregoing Schedule and Certificate
thereto were recorded in my office in Record Book B of the Separate Property of Married
Women pages 4 & 5 at 3 O’clock P.M. 21st Aug 1849
