A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 1997, in the Peninsula Church of Christ for Ann LeRoy Perkins, who died Dec. 28, 1996, at age 93.
Mrs. Perkins was born Jan. 23, 1903, in Stanford, Vt. Her maiden name was LeRoy. She lived in Portland since 1942. In 1935, she married Eugene T. She was a physical therapist and a member of the church.
Surviving are her husband; sons, Peter E. of Portland, Alan of Tacoma and James T. of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Hustad Funeral Home.

Note that Grandma Ann was born in Stamford, Vt., not Stanford, and note how her name is spelled LeRoy; I have a letter from her niece Shirley Trembley that the name was always spelled Leroy. Her father, Emile Leroy, had it spelled such on his naturalization certificate of April 30, 1886.
