Descendants
In 1967 it was decided to prepare a Pritchard family
history as a Centennial Project. However, work on the project
proceeded slowly until Patrick Evans was introduced to the group.
Pat undertook to correlate the available data, seek out new sources
of information, and compile tables. His work was published as The
Pritchards and related families, which was released to recognize
the 50th annual family reunion, and the 150th anniversary of the
family's arrival in Canada, in 1982. It was published by The
Descendants of James and Judith Pritchard, and is now out of print.
However, much of the publication has just recently been scanned and put on the
website, see The Pritchards and related families.
Barrie Pritchard has taken over the role of family
genealogist from Keith
Lachance, who did a tremendous amount of work over the years in
keeping the family records up to date. To inquire or provide
information about the family tree, please contact Barrie at
[email protected].
Given that James and Judith had 10 children and 95
grandchildren (see 3 generations), the complete family tree is large. To help later generations find
themselves, genealogy records that include at least 4
generations are available online at:
