I have visited your site before looking for links to my past (Litle). Today I found that a Nancy Clyde was married to "Abie Prichard b 1829. My Great Grandmother Elizabeth Clyde b 1836 Ireland and married to James Begley. Does anyone have research regarding the Clyde family. Your web site is one of the very best.  Thanks.

Congratulations on a spectacular website. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Although there doesn't seem to be a connection between our families, I have been researching McLinton/McClinton relations in the Wakefield area. They are also on the Pioneer Memorial Plaque. Many of the surnames mentioned in your site turn out to be spouse's names of many of my McLinton/ McClintons. Shouldice, Maxwell, McGarry, Stevenson and most are buried at Hall's Cemetery. Great website and great Canadian family heritage! Thank you, Dave McLinton.

I am a great, great, great granddaughter to James and Judith Pritchard -
James and Judith > Abraham Bratchett > Margaret Ann "Annie" > John Francis
Romeo "Frank" Roy > Mary Jean Roy > ME, Stephanie Sydiaha. I recently
visited the Ottawa area with my uncle Frank (Francis Eugene) Roy and his
wife Lily, and we made the trip to the family homestead at Alcove. I was
very moved to see the house and cemetery, simply because it is a tangible
connection that I wasn't aware of before. In my generation of cousins, there
have been 9 with red hair, and so it was fun to see the Irish link. Margaret
Ann "Annie" Pritchard and John Napoleon Roy are buried here in Saskatoon,
and whenever family comes to visit, we always make a stop. Thanks for your
work on the web site. Very good.

I searched for myself online and found this strange site. I'm assuming I have absolutely no relation to the Pritchard's here? Please gte back to me.

Greetings, I am a great-great-great-grandaughter of James and Judith (Ferguson) Pritchard.  My grandfather was Robert Grant Pritchard, John and Jane (Grant) Pritchard's son.  My daughter and I have been working on all the branches of our family and have used the the Pritchard book to help us.  We have a problem finding the places of births, deaths and marriage for John and Jane (Grant) Pritchard.  We also don't have much about Jane Grant.  Is there anyone that can give us any more information? Thanks for all your work on the Pritchard website.

I located your site while looking up some family info. My connection goes like this: Joseph Irwin & Mary Pritchard, to Sara Irwin & Abraham McAmmond, to Mary Jane McAmmond & Joseph McFaul, to Bertha Amelia McFaul & Frederick Keepin Godwin, to Beryle Loaryne Godwin & Kenneth Arthur McLeod Laidman, to me (Joanne Isabel Laidman)....so quite aways down the line. I was pleased to find the info on how Joseph and Mary ended up in Canada. And also the information on James Pritchard and Judith Ferguson. How wonderful. I was born in Canada and moved here 1985 for I was engaged to someone from Nebraska. Happily married ever since, and love to do this family genealogy! Some of the families I do work on are: Laidman, McLeod, Stewart, Thom, Reesor, and Sherk. Regards, Joanne

Ever since I posted a message to this guest book a few days ago and leaving my email address, I have been getting emails from "desperate" people seeking my assistance in retrievng large sums of money from bank accounts in other countries. I can only believe that this is where they are getting my address. Of course I am not falling for their scams, but it is upsetting to open my mailbox everyday and find one of these letters.

Great site! It is late, I have to work early in the morning, but I stumbled across this site and had to look at it right away. I have in my possession a yellowed typewritten booklet, passed on to me from my husband's mother, entitled "A FAMILY RECORD by Joseph Albert Irwin, 85 years of age, May 1943". It is quite interesting; I have retyped it into microsoft word and am willing to email it to anyone who is interested. My husband Neil is the great-great-great grandson of Joseph Irwin (b. 1805) and Mary Pritchard (b. 1807). According to my records, the line, going up, is: Neil ANHORN, Phoebe Melvina GULLACHER (1909-1980), Minerva Alvira MCGUNIGAL (1887-1965), Elizabeth IRWIN (1862-1947), Joseph IRWIN II (1831-1922), Joseph IRWIN I (1805-?). Hoping to hear from someone! Dorothy Anhorn

Nice to see a site on the early Isaac Cross family. This is the only site that I have been able to find on our line of descendants from Isaac Cross. We have some information provided to my father,Stan Cross, by Mrs. Dodds many years ago. It contains dates and stories on the family and its descendants. Your description mentions that Isaac could have arrived earlier than 1828. According to the account we have, he did indeed arrive at the port in Quebec City quite a few years earlier and, as I recall, I believe that records are available of the names of people and the dates they arrived at Quebec City. I will look up the document with information from Mrs. Dodds and get back to you. Thanks for the good work.

A very nice site and well laid out, easy to navigate. My research included the Gardiners and the Fetherstonhaugh family who lived in Cantley Quebec. The Protesant Cemetery there is relatives and relations. My Uncle (Gardiner/Kidd) was given the middle name of PRITCHARD, apparently after the Dr. Pritchard who delivered him. Given the Pritchards in this cemetery and a bit of family history, the PRITCHARD name caught my eye. All the best.

Beautifuly presented site congratulations. My great grandparents were Adam Hamilton and Alice Pritchard, They were married Dec 31 1895 Glasgow children they had were Archie, Adam, William, John, Peggy, Helen, Alice and my grandmother Mary Stewart Hamilton. The story is complicated though as this is my mothers side of the family. To my surprise my fathers side has come into the picture. My great grandfather was James Henry Woodhouse born in Ireland he came over to Scotland and married Catharine Barclay in Wigtown Scotland 1865 before moving to Glasgow where they settled. My uncle Charles Woodehouse married Sarah McCracken Stevenson and I believe Thomas Atkinson Woodhouse married Sarah Anne Stevenson were also related to my great grandparents. Other names I am researching are Armstrong, Faulds, McCallum, McPherson, McGraw, Caldwell, Weatherhead. I suspect we may have some things in common and would welcome an email. Yours Jim in Glasgow

I am researching the Morrison family and have Joseph Pritchard (1860-1945) son of James Pritchard and Elizabeth Steenson married to Margaret Morrison (1863 - 1899). She died in child birth at Hawaii I have a letter sent to her father George Morrison at Glengyle, Bristol Twsp. Quebec along with photo of her and Joseph about 1885. Would anyone have researched Joseph's family, I would like to know more about why they went to Hawaii as my great grand mother joined them there when her husand died in 1885.

Er...make that great granddaughter of Joseph and Mary. One of their sons was also named Joseph, and it was he who emigrated to the U.S. and had Inez, my grandmother. That would make Vera Lou (Inez's daughter) the great granddaughter of the original settlers, and the great great granddaughter of James Pritchard. This web site is great inspiration to get the family tree further along.
