Albert Kelly, son of James Kelly and Malinda Martin, was a farmer and a school teacher.  He was in the 30th Tn. Infantry during the Civil War (held as a POW and later released) and was active in Presbyterian and later Methodist Churches.  He married Jane Maria Shaw, daughter of James Logan Shaw, Sr. and Marinda Harder, on 19 November 1863 in Sumner County.  Jane was a tailor.  Shaw Bible Records
