We Austin and Barrodill B. Johnson for and in consideration of the natural love and affection we have for our three children Malvina C., Margaret Ann, and Barrodill Johnson do hereby give transfer and convey to them for their use and benefit all our right title claim and demand (which is one eighth part fifty dollars excepted) in the undivided estate of Robert White dec'd viz one tract of land in the state of Tennessee Sumner County and District No. 2? b bounded as follows Beginning on a sugar tree & Red Elm thence North ninty one poles to a stake in Mathew Kincannons line West with said Kincannons Line Ninty poles to a stake on Macrays line thence East with sd. line Ninty poles to the beginning making by estimation fifty Acres be the same more or less also one tract of land in the State County district aforesaid bounded as follows  Beginning on a beech poplar& four sugar trees thence North one hundred and twenty one poles to a stake with two sugar trees & two pawpaws marked as pointers thence East Sixty Six poles to a stake with a blackberry boxelder & beech marked as pointers in Yancey's west boundary line thence South with said line one hundred and Seventy one poles to a stake with one oak and three ash pointers thence west Sixty Six poles to the beginning making by estimation fifty Acres together with our said one eighth part (fifty dollars excepted in sd. Estate of the property of every description belonging to said Estate.  We do hereby nominate and appoint Thomas M. White the Guardian for said three children and confer on him full power and authority to take possession of sd. property on the death Lucretia White and to sell or dispose of sd. property in any way which he may think proper for the benefit of said children, as witness we have hereunto set our hands and seals this 17th day of March 1840 signed sealed and delivered in our presence the date above written.

State of Tennessee
Sumner County    Personally appeared before me Andw M. McGlothlin Clk of the County Court of said Sumner County Austin Johnson one of the above named bargainors with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledges the execution of the same to be his act and deed upon the day it bears date and for the purposes therein contained.  Where upon Thos. M. Patterson with whom I am personally acquainted a subscribing witness being first sworn states that Barrodill B. Johnson (the feme covert) now deceased assigned the above deed in his presence and Acknowledged the same to be her act and deed & for the purposes therein contained.  Witness my hand at office this 26th day of August 1840.
