Sumner County           hereby certify that upon legal
notice being given all adjoining parties that on Nov. 15 1897 that I proceeded to procession the lines and establish the corners of the land of George Branham in Dist. No. 10 of Sumner County Tennessee indicated by red lines in following map and that the following are the metes and, of his 71 acre tract; Beginning at a white oak; thence N 1 degree E 36 poles to a (stake) Dogwood; Thence N 6 degrees 25 poles to a chestnut oak; Thence N 15 degrees E 23 P to a chestnut oak; Thence N 9 degrees W 23 1/2 poles to a Black Oak; Thence N 46 degrees 13 1/2 poles to a Hickory; Thence N 87 1/2 degrees W 20 poles to a stake Hickory pointer; Thence S 70 degrees W 13 P to a hickory pointer; Thence N 67 degrees W 10 poles to a red elm; Thence N 30 1/7 degrees W 8 poles to a small Hickory; Thence west 58 poles to a small hickory on the bluff; Thence S 7 1/2 degrees E 113 poles to a poplar on hillside; Thence S 87 1/2 degrees E 86 poles to the beginning.  See map attached.
