State of Tennessee, Sumner County. This indenture made this second day of April one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine, between Peter Bysor of the one part & Jesse Garrett of the other part, both of the County & State aforesaid, witnesseth that the said Peter Bysor for & in consideration of the sum of twelve hundred dollars to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained & sold & by these presents, doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Jesse Garrett a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County and State aforesaid on the waters of Drakes Creek bounded as follows: Beginning at a hickory and running West one hundred and ninety one poles to a stake & pointers on an elm and oak, thence South eighty four poles to an elm, thence East one hundred and ninety one poles to a stake and pointers, thence North eighty four poles to the beginning containing one hundred acres. To have and to hold the said tract of land with all the rights, members and appurtenances thereof to the said Jesse Garrett his heirs Executors Administrators and assigns forever, and the said tract of land with all the rights members and appurtenances thereof the Peter Bysor his heirs Executors and Administrators unto the said Jesse Garrett his heirs Executors Administrators and assigns shall and will warrant forever and defend against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatever. State of Tennessee, Sumner County Court February Term 1830. The Deed of Bargain and sale from Peter Bysor to Jesse Garrett for one hundred acres of land was duly acknowledged in open court by the bargainer and ordered to be registered.
