This Indenture made entered this 13th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & nineteen, between Josephus H. Conn of the County of Sumner & State of Tennessee of the one part, & George Roberts & Peter Staly of the County & State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Josephus H. Conn for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Roberts & Staly, the receipt is hereby acknowledged & hath granted bargained sold & delivered & by these presents, grant bargain sell & delivered the said Roberts & Staly & to their heirs executors administrators, or assigns forever a certain parcel of land adjoining the Town of Cairo on the East and known by No. 103? in the plan of lots laid off by said Conn, containing forty five poles of land

or thereabouts. To have & to hold the said bargained premises to the said Roberts & Staly & to their heirs forever with all and singular the appurtenances as belonging and in any wise appertaining & that the said Josephus H. Conn, doth by these presents warrant and forever the said bargained premises to the said Roberts & Staly their heirs forever against the lawful claim of him the said Josephus H. Conn his heirs or any other persons lawfully claiming the same. In witness I hath hereunto set my hand & seal. This day & date as above written. Jo. H. Conn (Seal)

State of Tennessee, Sumner County Court Feby Term 1819.

This deed of bargain & sale between Joseph H. Conn of the one part & George Roberts & Peter Staly of the other part for 45 poles of land adjoining the town of Cairo was duly acknowledged in open Court by the said Josephus H. the bargainer & ordered to be Registered.

Registered & Examined 4th May 1819.
