 John & Dempsey G. Crudup To William Swafford - Deed - 15 Acres

State of Tennessee, Hamilton County - Know all men by these presents, that we John Crudup and Dempsey G. Crudup of said county and state, for and in consideration of the sum of twenty two, 50/100 dollars, to us in hand paid by William Swafford of Wilson County, State of Tennessee, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby bargain, sell and convey, and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey unto the said William Swafford all that piece or parcel of land lying and being in the 25th District of Wilson County, Tennessee designated & known by boundaries as follows: beginning at Mrs. Eahart South West corner, in the Jane Hay's North boundary line, thence West to Knight's line, thence North with said Knight's line to Mrs. Baker's; thence East with her line to Mrs. Eahart's North East corner; thence South with said Eahart's line to place of beginning, containing 15 acres; be the same more or less. To have and to hold to the said William Swafford, his heirs and assigns forever. We covenant with the said Swafford that we are lawfully seized of said land. We warrant and defend the title to the same against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever. Witness our hands and seals this the 10th day of November AD 1886. John Crudup (Seal) D. G. State of Tennessee, Hamilton County-Personally appeared before me J. A. Smith, Notary Public for said county, John Crudup & D. G. Crudup, the within named bargainers, with whom I am personally acquainted, and who acknowledged that they executed the within named instrument for the purposes therein contained.
