This Indenture made the 10th day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy seven between Daniel Thomas Northam and wife Sarah Ann Northam of the County of Richmond in the State of North Carolina, on the one part, and Calvin Robbins of the County of Richmond and State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth; That the said Daniel Thomas Northam and wife Sarah Ann Northam for and in consideration of the sum of Ten ($10.00) dollars to them in hand paid by the said Calvin Robbins the receipt whereof the said Daniel Thomas Northam and wife Sarah Ann Northam do hereby acknowledge, have given, granted, bargained and sold, aliened and confirmed, and by these presents do give, grant, bargain and, sell alien and confirm unto the said Calvin Robbins his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land, situated lying and being in the County of Richmond on the North of Cartledges Creek and bounded as follows, Beginning at a rock pile the beginning corner of a tract of land conveyed by George Northam to the said Daniel Thomas Northam and runs as its first line S 2 deg. E. 3.18 chs to a small persimmon a pine pointers, thence S 70 deg. W. 6.50

chs to a pine a pine pointers, thence N 2 deg. Wt. 3.18 chs. to the original line a pine 2 pines pointers, thence No. 70 Et. 6.50 chs. to the first station containing two acres more or less and also all the woods, ways, water and water courses, and all and every the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues, and profits, of the aforesaid lands and premises, and every part thereof, and every part thereof, and all the estate, right, title, interest, claims, property and demand whatsoever, of the said Daniel Thomas Northam and Sarah Ann Northam of, in, and to the lands and premises hereby granted, To have and to hold the aforesaid lands and premises, with the appurtenances, unto the said Calvin Robbins his heirs and assigns, to the only proper use and behoof of the said Calvin Robbins his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Daniel Thomas Northam and wife, Sarah Ann Northam for themselves and their heirs, the aforesaid lands and premises and every part thereof against themselves and their heirs, and against claim or claims of all and every other person or persons, to the said Calvin Robbins his heirs and assigns, shall and will warrant and forever defend by these present.
In witness whereof the said Daniel Thomas Northam and wife, Sarah Ann Northam in token of her renunciation of all right of dower in said premises have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written-- Interlimatim? made before signing

D. T. Northam, and S. A. Northam his wife, the persons described in, and who signed the foregoing deed, and acknowledged the due execution thereof by them as their act and deed. And thereupon the said S. A. Northam being by the undersigned privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her free consent in the execution thereof, doth declare in such her examination, that she had executed the same freely, of her own free will and accord, and without any force, fear, or undue influence of her said husband or any other person, and did still voluntarily assent thereto. Therefore let the said deed with this certificate be registered.
