Ezekiel Douglass Deed to John Mitchell for 9 1/2 acres & 14 poles

This Indenture made this Nineteenth day of November in the year of Our Lord Eighteen Hundred & Twelve between Ezekiel Douglass of the County of Davidson of the one part & John Mitchell of the County of Sumner & State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Ezekiel Douglass for and in consideration in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath & by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien en-feeoff & confirm unto the said John Mitchell his heirs & assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing nine acres and a half and fourteen poles lying and being in the County of Sumner on the  Waters of the Middle Fork of Station Camp Creek beginning at an Elm in the North boundary of the original survey including said land and running thence South forty six degrees West two hundred & Eighty four poles to a stake in the South boundary of said original survey thence West with said South boundary line ten poles and a half to a stake thence North forty eight and a half degrees East to the beginning, said bargained land is the quantity of acres which appears upon a resurvey to be deficient or wanting to make the quantity on number of acres specified in a deed from said Douglass to said Mitchell bearing date the thirteenth day of February Eighteen Hundred & twelve and which was granted to Elmore Douglass by grant No---- dated the ---- day of---- in the year ---- and by him conveyed to the said Ezekiel Douglass by deed dated the tenth day of October in the year 1810 together with all and singular the woods waters watercourses profits commodities hereditaments & appertaining and the reversion & revisions remainder and remainders rents & issues thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand of them the said Ezekiel Douglass his heirs & assigns forever of in & to the  same and every part or parcel thereof either in law or equity to have and to hold the said nine acres and a half and fourteen poles of land with the appurtenances unto the said John Mitchell his heirs  and assigns forever against the lawful title claim and demand  of all and every person or persons whatsoever will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof the said Ezekiel Douglass hath hereunto set his hand & seal the day & year first above written. Ezekiel (his mark) Douglass (Seal)

The within Decree of bargain & sale between Ezekiel Douglass of the one part and John Mitchell of the other part for 9 1/2 acres & 14 poles of land was duly proved in open Court by the oaths of Reuben Douglass and Willie J. Douglass subscribing witnesses thereto & ordered to be registered.
