Sumner County Know all men by these presents that I Eli Northam
of the County of Simpson and State of Kentucky for & in consideration
of the sum of $46 to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
have this day bargained sold transferred & conveyed & do by these
presents Release & convey unto Jesse Bradley of the County of Sumner &
State of Tennessee all my right title interest and claim and to the following
described tract or parcel of land (viz) It lying & being in the County
of Sumner & State of Tennessee on the waters of Drakes Creek & secured
to the said Northam by virtue of an entry made by himself and Bounded as
follows (viz) Beginning on a Blackjack running W 100 poles to a black oak
thence S 44 poles to a hickory thence E. 118 poles to a Red oak thence N
with Luke Barnards line 44 poles to the Beginning containing 30 1/4 acres
more or less to have & to hold the above described tract or parcel of
Land to the said Jesse Bradley his heirs or assigns together with all and
singular the rights & privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging
or in any wise appertaining to the same and the said Eli Northam do
further covenant & agree to forever warrant and defend the title of said
land to the said Jesse Bradley his heirs or assigns against the claims of
myself my heirs Executors & Adminr. & all other persons whatever
claiming the same given under my hand & seal using a scroll for seal
this 23rd day of October A. D. 1853.

Sumner County Personally appeared before me John L. Bugg Clerk of
the County Court of said County Sanford Barnard & Richard M. Coker
subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Deed who being first sworn depose
& say that they are personally acquainted with Eli Northam the Bargainor
and that he acknowledged the Execution of the same in their presence to be
his act and deed upon the day it bears date and for the purpose therein contained
witness my hand at office this 31st day Oct. 1853.
