I have this day bargained & sold and do hereby convey to Barry Adcock his heirs & etc. for the sum five dollars to me in hand paid and the other considerations after mentioned, the following property (to wit) fifty acres of land, bounded on the South by Francis Locke, on the East by Peyton Stuart, on the West by Jno. Wilson and North by Peyton Stuart. Also one brown mare & colt, one cow & calf, 16 head of hogs, one bed & furniture, one chest.

The condition of the above deed is such that whereas I am indebted to Barry Adcock by note now due for $100.00, and am desirous to secure and make certain the above amount to said Barry Adcock, on the first day of March 1845, and if I should fail to pay the said debt on or before that time, then the said Barry Adcock as Trustee is authorized to advertise said property at the Courthouse in Gallatin and two other public places in District No. 13 and sell the same for cash, to the highest bidder, and appropriate the proceeds to the payment of said debt, interest and cost. Monday, Clerk of the County Court of said county, Archibald Gregory the bargainor with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he made and executed the above Deed of Trust for the purposes therein contained. Witnessed my hand at office this 31st day of August 1843. Wm. S. Monday, Clerk
