This Indenture made this seventeenth day of February in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and nine between Montgomery McConnell of the one part and Daniel McConnell both of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Montgomery McConnell for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Daniel McConnell, hath given granted and bargained and sold and by these presents doth give grant bargain and sell unto the said Daniel McConnell a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the State of Tennessee and County of Sumner upon the waters of Goose Creek, being part of a tract of land originally granted by letters patent bearing date the twelfth of November in the year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety five and runs as follows: Beginning at a sugar tree on Montgomery McConnells North boundary, running West two hundred and forty poles to a white oak on James Grahams line, thence North one hundred and thirty four poles to a sugar tree James Grahams Corner, thence East two hundred and forty poles along Dixons line to a poplar Montgomery McConnells Corner, thence South one hundred and thirty four poles to the Beginning, Containing two hundred acres be the same more or less which said piece or parcel of land with all ways woods waters and every other appurtenance thereunto belonging or appertaining, Montgomery McConnell for himself his heirs Executors Administrators or assigns hath hereby set over conveyed released and confirmed to the said Daniel McConnell his heirs Executors Administrators or assigns and he the said Montgomery McConnell for himself and his heirs or assigns doth hereby covenant and promise to and with the said Daniel McConnell his heirs or assigns to warrant and forever defend the said piece or parcel of land with all and every of its members and appurtenances free from the claim or claims of any person or persons whatsoever unto the said Daniel McConnell his heirs Executors Administrators or assigns forever. In witness whereof the said Montgomery McConnell hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal the day and year above written.

The within deed of bargain and sale between Montgomery McConnell of the one part and Daniel McConnell of the other part for 200 acres of land was duly acknowledged in open Court by the bargainor and ordered to be registered. A Copy Test.
