State of Tennessee, Sumner County - Know all men by these presents; That W. T. McGlothlin and wife M. C. McGlothlin of the county of Sumner and State of Tennessee in consideration of the sum of One Hundred Dollars to us in hand, paid by W. T. McGlothlin, W. P. Moore, Sr., W. Goostree, J. A. Anderson, Elias Flulghum Trustees of the Portland Methodist Episcopal Church, South, of Portland in the county of Sumner, State of Tennessee the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, and released, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, and release unto the said Trustees of the Portland Methodist Episcopal Church, South, of Portland all that tract of land situated in Sumner County and State of Tennessee described as follows, to wit: Beginning at Rock N. W. Corner of lot no. 313 ft South of line, between us and W. P. Moore Jr., Thence West 200 ft to a rock 13 ft South of line between us and W. P. Moore, Jr., Thence South 110 ft to a Dogwood tree near the pond, Thence east 100 ft to a rock, Thence South 40 ft to a rock, Thence east 100 ft to a rock South West corner to lot no. 3, Thence North 150 ft to the place of beginning known as lot No. 4, Together with all and singular, the rights, members, hereditaments, and appurtenances to the same belonging, or in any wise incident or appertaining, to have and to hold, all and singular, the premises above mentioned unto the said Trustees of the Portland Methodist Episcopal Church, South, of Portland their successors and assigns forever. In Trust, that said premises shall be used, kept, maintained, and disposed of as a place of Divine Worship & Parsonage for the use of the Ministry and Membership of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, subject to the discipline usage, and Ministerial Appointments of said church, as from time to time authorized & declared by the General Conference of said church and by the Annual Conference within whose bounds the said premises are situate. Whenever it shall become necessary or may be deemed expedient by the said Portland Methodist Episcopal Church, South, of Portland to sell or otherwise dispose of the said bargained premises, or any part thereof, the said Methodist Episcopal Church, South, may and it is hereby empowered to sell or otherwise dispose of the same by and through the said Trustees and their successors under and pursuant to the rules and regulations of the discipline of the said Methodist Episcopal Church, South, then and at that time in force. And the said grantor does hereby bind their heirs, executors and administrators, to warrant and forever defend, all and singular, the said premises unto the said Trustees of the Portland Methodist Episcopal Church, South, of Portland their successors and assigns, against every person whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. And the said M. C. McGlothlin wife of said W. T. McGlothlin does hereby relinquish all right of dower and homestead in and to said premises. In testimony whereof, The said W. T. State of Tennessee, Sumner County - Personally appeared before me, E. H. C. Sarver N. P. in and for said County and State, W. T. McGlothlin and wife M. C. McGlothlin bargainors, with whom I am personally acquainted and acknowledged the execution of the annexed Deed for the purpose therein set forth. Mrs. M. C. McGlothlin wife of W. T. McGlothlin being examined privately and apart from her husband acknowledged
