State of Tennessee, Sumner County - For the consideration of Forty nine & 62/100 Dollars to us in hand paid the receipt of which is acknowledged, We have this day bargained and sold and do transfer and convey unto R. W. Bradley, J. R. Bradley and William Buntin and their Successors as Trustees of the Portland Cemetery, all our right, title, interest and Estate in and to a certain lot or parcel of land situated in the 16th District of the aforesaid State and County, and is known as a part of the Thos. Buntin heirs lands, lying immediately West of and adjoining the half of land reserved by J. C. Buntin and Martin Groves as a

burying ground for the Thos. Buntin heirs and their connection and which half acre is included in the field notes of this Deed and it is further understood that said half acre on the East end of this survey is still held for the use and benefit and controlled by said Trustees for the use and benefit of Thos. Buntin heirs and connection exclusively and that the West end of this survey deeded by us to said Trustees will be used as a Public burying ground subject to certain rule and restrictions by said Trustees. This survey or lot is bounded as follows; Beginning on a Hackberry on the East edge or side of the Shun Pike Road and is the S. W. corner of this lot, Thence Easterly 40 & 1/3 P. to a rock S. E. corner to the half acre lot; Thence Northerly 8 & 1/2 P. to a planted rock, N. E. corner to said half acre lot, Thence Westerly 40 & 1/3 P. to a rock on the East edge of said Shun Pike Road; Thence South with said road 8 & 1/2 P.. to the place of beginning, containing by estimation in the entire survey 2 A. & 23 P. on aside from the reservation of the half acre, 1 A. & 103 P. be the same more or less, to have and to hold said land to the said Trustees and their successors forever with the further understanding that this entire survey is to be enclosed by a good fence to turn any kind of stock and to be kept so by direction of said Trustees without any expense or care by us or our assigns. We covenant with said Trustees that we are lawfully seized and possessed of said part of the lot that we are conveying in fee simple, that it is not encumbered and the legal title is in us and we have a good right to convey the same, and we further bind ourselves, our heirs and legal representatives to warrant and forever defend the right and title in and to the same to the Trustees and their successors against the legal claims of any and all persons whomsoever. State of Tennessee, Sumner County - Personally appeared before me J. W. Malone a Notary Public in and for said County and State, the within named W. T. McGlothlin, the bargainor, with whom I am personally acquainted, and who acknowledged that he executed the within named instrument for the purposes therein contained. And Mrs. M. C. McGlothlin wife of the said W. T. McGlothlin, having personally appeared before me, privately and apart from her husband, the said Mrs. M. C. McGlothlin, acknowledged that the execution of said Deed to have been done by her freely, voluntarily and understandingly, without compulsion or constraint from her said husband, and for the purposes therein expressed.
