Know all men by these presents that I Nancy Rhoades (formerly Nancy Howser) of Cole County, Mo. hath this day bargained and sold unto T. J. Howser of the County of Macon & State of Tenn. one ninth part of the lands belonging to Thos. Howser deceased it being my entire interest. For and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred dollars paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged the above lands lying and being in the County of Monroe State of Kentucky. And I bind myself my heirs or assigns to forever warrant and defend unto said T. J. Howser his heirs & etc. and undisputed right the above lands so far as my undivided interest in said lands are concerned. Given under my hand this 4th day of Sept 1865.

State of Kentucky, County of Monroe - Set. - I J. C. Conkin Clerk of Monroe County Court certify this deed from W. L. Meadors as attorney in part for Nancy Rhoades was this day filed in my office & proven by the oath of Moses Rhoads one of the subscribing witnesses thereto to be the act and deed of said grantor, whereupon I have recorded the same together with this certificate in my office duly stamped this 25th day of March 1867.
